About this event
North Shore Adventure
When: Friday, October 2 - Sunday, October 4, 2015
Where: Departs from the Forest Lake Target parking lot
356 12th St SW, Forest Lake, MN 55025
Minnesota's North Shore is calling and we are ready to answer the call. We'll depart on Friday, October 2nd at noon. If that time doesn't work for you, you are certainly welcome to depart when you can and meet the group in Grand Marais. We'll return to the Twin Cities late on Sunday, October 4th.
Over the weekend we'll explore many of the small towns, restaurants and attractions that line the North Shore. Of course, we'll drive some narrow twisty roads in the area as well. The leaves should be awesome along the North Shore in early October.
Grand Marais is a picturesque community located about 4 1/2 hours from the Twin Cities. It is located right on the shore of Lake Superior and is in high demand most of the tourist season. For a small community there are many hotel accommodations to pick from, but they fill up quickly. If you are interested in going on the trip, you should call the hotel of your choice directly and book your room right away. All of the hotels listed below had rooms available as of this posting (August 31). You are certainly welcome to find other lodging in town if you wish.
