Enjoy a trip down Memory Lane. Take a journey back to the automobile past with a Road Trip to Memory Lane Classic Cars in Eatonton, GA. Arrive at the museum around 10:00 a.m. with lunch later at El Sitio Mexican Grill. Plenty of free parking is available at both venues.
Memory Lane Classic Cars is a car museum that features over 100 top quality American cars. These cars range from a 2005 Mustang GT 340, one of the fastest cars on Earth, to "Eleanor," which is the gray 545 hp Shelby GT 500 used in "Gone in 60 Seconds." Words can't adequately describe all the wonders that reside in Memory Lane Classic Cars Museum. Come see this unique collection of cars.
Memory Lane Classic Cars Museum is one of Lake Oconee’s hidden gems. Housed in a revitalized strip mall is the private collection of Jerry and June Smith; a collection that contains over one hundred and fifty cars. Around one hundred and twenty of these cars are on display at the museum, making it the largest collection of classic American automobiles, motorcycles and memorabilia in the Southeast. The cars are rotated on a regular basis to ensure a unique visit every time.
Among the cars on display at the museum are several rare specimens, including a 1954 Buick Skylark-- one of less than nine hundred ever manufactured. A 50th anniversary Chevrolet Corvette by Lingenfelter, a 1965 Pontiac GTO, and a 2005 Ford GT540 are shown. The eclectic collection features everything from classic vehicles restored to perfection to modern hot rods and motorcycles.
For a change of pace, plan to come out on a hot summer Saturday and enjoy the all American car and motorcycle collection at Memory Lane. The uniqueness of each car and the ability to distinguish a Ford from a Dodge from a Chevrolet is showcased. Memory Lane’s collection features cars from 1913 to 2005. There’s even a 1957 Chevrolet Belair convertible, a 1957 Ford Thunderbird and a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle in the collection. Is one of your earlier cars in the collection? Maybe! Come see for yourself on July 23, 2016. Your $12 registration includes admission and lunch alcoholic beverages are not included)
