About this event

Hittin' the Highway for Hounds 'n Hairballs Road Rally

The Arctic Alaska Region of the Sports Car Club of America will be sanctioning the third event of the 2014 Summer Road Rally Series on Sunday, September 14th. The Hittin' the Highway for Hounds 'n Hairballs Road Rally, which is also the 28th Annual Mayday Mayday Rally, will be our annual fundraiser and we support the Kitty and K-9 Connection again this year! Head over to www.alaskascca.motorsportreg.com today or our Road Rally in Alaska Facebook page, and you'll find information on our upcoming events.

We are so very fortunate that three Rallymasters stepped up to take on the responsibility of putting together challenging, clean (no busts) and creative Road Rallies for the Summer Series! Rallymasters want to know that rallyists are planning to attend and looking forward to competing on their rallies. We look forward to having you rally with us and encourage you to register online today!

The Rallymaster for the Hittin' the Highway for Hounds 'n Hairballs Road Rally, Cheryl Lynn will have a route that departs the Old Seward Highway PETCO and up to the Hillside area of Anchorage. Gail Engblom serves as the Road Rally Safety Steward for the event. The event will be based on TSD (time-speed-distance) and will require teams to fill in the correct answers to questions along the route!

Given the generous volunteer hours needed to go into our events — from the pre-check workers time, Rallymaster re-check calcs/printing, and rally expenses—we need your registrations as soon as you know you'll be running! Please do not wait until the last minute — show your interest to our Rallymasters and the Kitty and K-9 Connection! There will not be registration event morning, so don't delay — register TODAY!!

The starting location for Hittin' the Highway for Hounds 'n Hairballs Road Rally will be the PETCO store on Old Seward Highway in Anchorage. Teams need to arrive not later than Noon, and they will sign waivers, have their vehicles teched, car numbers will be assigned and the Mileage Checks will be handed out at 1PM. Please arrive on time so that we can keep the departure on schedule. So that you may plan the rest of your day, you should be wrapped-up with rallying and learning of the finishing scores by 5PM — and that includes time to enjoy a light meal at the rally's ending location!

Upon registration, teams will be sent the official Kitty and K-9 Connection pledge sheets for the 28th annual Mayday Mayday Hittin' the Highway for Hounds 'n Hairball Road Rally! Come join us for an afternoon of adventure...

Event requirements

REGISTRATION and ENTRY FEES
We encourage all of you planning to enter this event to register here at http://www.alaskascca.motorsportreg.com.
