Why PCA National Instructor Training?
The National Instructor Training Program was introduced in 2003 and since that time over 3700 participants have attended the program. The intent of the training is to add consistency of instruction to novice and beginner drivers in our Driver’s Education programs.
What is the format of the event?
The National Program consists of both classroom and on-track role playing and training sessions. Only the "South track" will be used as the "North track" is being resurfaced. The in-car exercises will be done at highway speeds with no helmets required. Participants are requested to arrive in street cars as the training will occur regardless of the weather, which could be quite foul given the date of the event. There will be no "open track" or "hot laps" permitted at anytime by anyone during the event.
Who can participate?
You must be an approved instructor for ARPCA, another PCA region, or PittRace to register for this event. If you are not currently an approved instructor for one of these groups you will need to e-mail Drake Core, the Chief Driving Instructor for ARPCA Region. Drake's contact in formation is: email@example.com
There are only 75 spaces available and the roster will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis. We will establish a waiting list if need be which will be used when cancelations are received.
