Join Audi Club Northwest at Oregon Raceway Park (ORP) on April 12-13 for Verloren Gehen 2014!
The name Verloren Gehen means "get lost," which is an important part of the challenge at ORP.
This is the fourth time for Audi Club Northwest at this very challenging and technically interesting 2.3 mile road course in Grass Valley, Oregon. It has significant elevation change of 140ft, and completely blind corners to learn and practice. You too can master these elements! <http://www.oregonraceway.com/index.php>
For just the second time with ACNW, this is now a two-day event! We have packages in MotorsportReg for both days, or for individual days on Saturday or Sunday (single day solo or instructed lapping). The two-day package is $360 or you can purchase one day (Saturday or Sunday) for $245. Plenty of track time and a nicely served lunch is included both days.
Please also consider joining us for a no-host dinner on Saturday 4/12 at The Glass Onion in Goldendale. There are just 44 seats available, and the cost is $45 at time of registration (tax and gratuity included; drinks are no-host). When registering please indicate yourself and any personal guests. This will be an informal gathering to meet others from the event and eat some good food. Check out The Glass Onion here: <http://www.theglassonionrestaurant.com/The_Glass_Onion/HOME.html>
Objectives for Verloren Gehen are to practice and refine the experience you gained from attending previous track events with Audi Club Northwest or other car club events, so we do have instructor support available. To qualify for Verloren Gehen, drivers must have previously attended a Driver Skills Clinic and at least one instructed-lapping day at one of the region’s tracks, subject to Event Master approval. This is a lapping event; there are no driver skill exercises at ORP. You will be asked to select your skill level as part of the registration process online.
To help you get excited about this fresh track experience, a good familiarization video was put together by ProFormance Racing School that reviews the track and each of its corners. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxUdfsZtRzc>
All participants must be at least 18 years of age.
ACNA membership is required for this event. Drivers who are not yet members, or who need to renew an existing membership, may handle that using the Audi Club North America website <http://www.audiclubna.org/membership>.
Registration pricing includes lunch. Guest lunches are available for $15. Note: When meals are a part of our events, ACNW will attempt to accommodate special dietary requirements if requested. However, meals are provided by third parties and circumstances may not always enable ACNW or its vendors to meet every special dietary need.
Our event hotel will be the Quality Inn and Suites in Goldendale, WA. We have a room block with a variety of rooms for $85 per night. To book a room call the hotel at (509-773-5881) and let them know you are with Audi Club Northwest.. <http://www.qualityinn.com/hotel-goldendale-washington-WA178> Another lodging option is camping. Camping is permitted at the ORP parking area for Friday and/or Saturday night provided they have a list of people beforehand. Contact Tripp if you are interested in camping overnight at the track.
Thank you and welcome to what will be a wonderfully challenging experience.
Please email Tripp Serenbetz" <email@example.com>, event master, with any questions.
