ACNW Geschwindigkeit '13

Pacific Raceways

About this event

Join Audi Club Northwest for Geschwindigkeit 2013 at Pacific Raceways on Friday, July 12th, sponsored by University Audi!

We are very excited to return to Pacific Raceways for the third year in a row.  With events at The Ridge Motorsports Park, Oregon Raceway Park, Evergreen Speedway and Bremerton Motorsports Park completed this year, we are thrilled to again take advantage of this amazing facility in Seattle's backyard.

Located only 34 miles from downtown Seattle, the Pacific Raceways Road Course is a world-class SCCA and NASCAR certified, 10-turn (nine turns with a "kink"), 2.25-mile course.  The 170mph front straight is at an elevation of 150 feet above sea level. There is a total elevation change of 125 feet, of which 100 feet occurs in just 1/2 mile between turn 2 and turn 3B.  Winding through natural wooded terrain, sweeping curves and hairpin turns make Pacific Raceways one of the most unique and challenging road courses in the United States.

The one-day price of $235 includes lunch and plenty of track time.

All driver attendees must be Audi Club North America members. You can easily become a member or renew when you register using the next pages!  Or easier still, you can join on the Audi Club North America website <http://www.audiclubna.org/join-renew>.

All attendees must be at least 18 years of age.

This event does NOT have a Driver's Education exercises component. It is for drivers who have at least attended an ACNW Driver Education event or equivalent from another club or driver's school.  Please indicate your driver skill level as part of the registration process online.

Instructors will be available for those who are not signed off to solo, or anyone wanting a coach.  One of the objectives of this event is to practice and refine the experience you gained from attending previous track events with Audi Club Northwest or other car club events.

Registration pricing includes lunch. Guest lunches are available for $15. Note: When meals are a part of our events, ACNW will attempt to accommodate special dietary requirements if requested. However, meals are provided by third parties and circumstances may not always enable ACNW or its vendors to meet special dietary needs.

If you have questions, email the event master, Seth Varty at SethVarty@gmail.com

Event requirements

Please indicate the signoff in your Log Book for driver skill level when that question appears in the registration process. Instructors will be available for anyone who wants coaching, and for those who are not signed off to Intermediate (solo).

Convertibles and roadsters are not permitted to run high speed events unless equipped with an approved aftermarket 4-point roll bar in the car and 4-point ASM, 5-point or 6-point harnesses. The roll bar must pass the “broomstick rule” such that a broomstick from the top of the windshield to the top of the roll bar is over the head of the driver. The TT convertible and A4/S4/S5/RS4 Cabriolet will not qualify for tech inspection without an aftermarket roll bar. Both front seats require 4-point ASM, 5-point or 6-point harnesses if a passenger is present. The Audi Club North America policy is posted on www.audiclubna.org for your review.

Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs, SAVs, etc) are not permitted.

Our 2012 Helmet Requirement is for Snell 2005 or later. The SA (Automotive), M (Motorcycle) and K (Karting) designators are approved. We have 28 club helmets available for rent ($25) on a first come, first serve basis. If you still need a helmet but they are all are rented out at the time of your registration, please make a note in the registration comments that you need one. We cannot guarantee that one will become available however, and you will not be allowed to participate without a helmet.

Everyone will be required to sign the ACNA Waiver when entering the facility.
