Our Annual Holiday Party will take place on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Fort Belvoir Officers' Club. This beautifully situated venue will provide magnificent views of the Potomac River and a grand display of GWS-MBCA members' cars along the circular and stately main drive in front of the historic building. Inside, we'll gather upstairs in their impressive Fort Belvoir room to sip cocktails in an atmosphere of camaraderie and conviviality before enjoying a sumptuous buffet. Our traditional announcement of the Member of the Year will be made as well as upcoming events for 2017!
Respectfully, business attire (tie optional) is requested and everyone may enjoy all of the following delicious Lunch Buffet favorites:

Each guest will be given two drink tickets for the cash bar plus each table will have one bottle of Merlot and one bottle of Chardonnay to enjoy alongside coffee and tea.
Fort Belvoir is an active military base and we must provide a detailed guest list no later than Friday, January 13, 2017. After registering online, please send an email to Anthony Androsky secretary@mbca-gws.org to include the following:
1) Last Name, First Name
2) Driver's License Number
3) Driver's License State
4) Mobile Phone Number
Ensuring your name is on the guest list prior to Friday, January 13 will enable you to drive through the Tulley Gate, inform the security guard you are on the GWS-MBCA list, present your ID, and continue directly to the Officers’ Club.
Registration will remain open until Friday, January 20, 2017.
Registrations received after Friday the 13th will need to proceed through the Tulley Gate Visitor Center and be processed on site, which takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
The date of January 29 holds special meaning, too. It was on this date in 1886 that Karl Benz applied for patent number 37435 for his "vehicle powered by a gas engine." Benz's Patent-Motorwagen is considered the world's first practical car. As GWS-MBCA embarks upon the New Year with new leadership we hope to spark the ignition to an auspicious new beginning for our members and many more successful gatherings in the months to come!
