Time is short but this is worth a scheduling change!

John Chudzik followed up on his commitment to explore other Winter Driving School venues and found this! This NOT an NEQ event per se, but we are looking for a maximum of 15 NEQ drivers to participate. Thos of us who willl be in upstate NY on Saturday should consider going to Mallett's Bay on Sunday, and those of you not going to upstate NY should consider this new opportunity. If we like it, we will work on doing NEQ events in the same location in the future.

Just bring a $20 bill (no pennies!)

Location: Mallett's Bay, Colchester Vermont

The Organizer's write-up:

Directions: Take I-89 to exit 16. From South, turn right on Route 7 & 2. From North, turn left on Route 7 & 2. In approximately 2 miles, turn left on Route 127/Blakely Road. Follow 127 3-4 miles (you will see the lake on your right). Enter lake at boat launch on right just after Harbor View Plaza and Coates Island Road. If you pass Prim Road on your left, you have gone 150 feet too far.

Time: 10:30 is a good time to show up, we usually run until darkness begins to creep in.

Cost: $20 to use the course we will have built. Also spill pillows will be available for $5. These are a GREAT thing to have in your car in case of a fluid leak; many clubs require them.

Cars: cars should be street-legal (registered, insured, inspected). Police may come visit us on four-wheelers to see what's going on. Your car MUST HAVE NO FLUID LEAKS.

We set up our course about 1/2 mile out on the lake to give ice fishermen the most convenient spots; this also allows us to make a wider and larger track. You will be able to see us from the boat launch; just drive out.

Vermont state speed limit is 50mph on our lakes, so exercise good judgment around shore where pedestrians, skaters, and fishermen are more abundant.
