ProSolo Enthusiasts,
What we have feared for the last couple of months, but hoped would be avoided, has come to pass; the site we use for National Solo events in Toledo will not be available for the July 29 – 31 ProSolo. Therefore, that event has been cancelled and will not be replaced on the 2018 Series calendar. Refunds will be made over the next two weeks to those entered in the event.
Section 20.10.A of the ProSolo Rules is being modified to address, to the degree we can, the resulting circumstances from this cancellation. The new rule language is below.
We hope you understand that on occasion situations arise that are beyond the control of the SCCA or its Regions and we must make the best of it. The Northwestern Ohio Region and the Toledo Express Airport are to be commended for their efforts in trying to keep this event on the 2018 schedule.
Thanks for your patience on this matter and for your support of the Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo Series.
H.
Howard Duncan, SCCA Senior Director of Rally/Solo
20.10.A – Entry and Registration
1. Event entries will be limited due to site restrictions and other factors. Entry limits will be posted on www.scca.com.
2. In keeping with Section 20.3, Program Objectives and Strategies, the ProSolo® National Series Championship Finale event is primarily focused on determining Series champions and standings from those competitors who have been involved supporting the Series throughout the season by entering multiple events and/or have achieved certain levels of success. In order to accomplish this goal, the Finale will have staggered dates for the opening of Registration based on a combination of the level of Series accomplishment and participation during the season (details below).
3. For a driver to enter the 2018 ProSolo® Series Championship Finale event they must have scored points in the class entered at a minimum of two (2) 2018 ProSolo® National Series events, with entry preference based on the following schedule and criteria:
a. Tier 1 registration opens on Wednesday, August 8, at 3:00 PM Central for drivers with 27 or more points in the class entered for the Finale
b. Tier 2 registration opens on Wednesday, August 15, at 3:00 PM Central for drivers who have 21 points in class, OR have scored points in three (3) or more events in the Finale class entered, OR purchased a ProSolo Bundle of three events, scoring points in two of those events in the Finale class entered AND the third event was the cancelled Toledo ProSolo.
c. Tier 3 registration opens on Wednesday, August 22, at 3:00 PM Central for drivers that have scored points in 2 or more events in the Finale class entered.
d. The Finale will have an entry cap of 300 entrants, excluding Formula Junior, and the entry deadline is Wednesday, August 29 at 3:00 PM. Any registrations that are received after the cap has been reached and before the entry deadline, will be placed on a wait list. Entrants on the wait list will be moved to the entry list as cancellations occur until the entry deadline of Wednesday, August 29 at 3:00 PM. After this deadline no more entries will be moved from the wait list or new entries accepted.
e. The deadline for withdrawal from the Finale with a partial refund of entry fee is Monday, August 27, at 11:59 PM Central time..
In an effort to allow more competitors from the hosting region the entry cap for this event is set to 225 initially. Two weeks prior to the event, entrants on the waitlist whose region of record at the time of registration is the host region, will be moved into the event based on when they registered. If the entrants from the region of record do not fill the event to the final cap (250), then entrants from outside the region of record will be moved into the event.
This cap does not include Formula Junior drivers.
All events must have 120 entrants 2 weeks prior to the event.
Registration Fee is:
Regular online entry - $145
Junior Kart entry - $70
On-Site (Late) entry - $ 195

To read about the contingency sponsor programs and to register for programs please click on this link.
Competitors must register each year through scca.com prior to competing for all Silver, Gold and Platinum programs and in some cases with the sponsor as well, please read each programs registration requirements carefully. Decals will be available at tech inspection at the event.
All Bronze programs require registering and receiving decals directly from that sponsor, please refer to the program descriptions for more information.
Registration Policy (after online closes)
Online registration closes at 6:00 pm Central, Wednesday prior to the event. After online registration closes, you can still register for the event on-site from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday and the first 30 minutes of registration on Saturday at the SCCA timing trailer unless the event is sold out. Please note, there will be a late entry fee imposed on all on-site registrations. If the event is already full, we will not allow entry on-site.
Car Number Policy
The number selection is first come first serve. The Motorsportsreg.com system does not allow drivers to reserve their codrivers number. With that, if there is a conflict where someone signs up for a number and someone else who isn’t the codriver signs up for the corresponding number, the person that signed up first for either the two or three-digit number is the owner of that combination. If you notice a discrepancy in numbers, please contact Brian Harmer (bharmer@scca.com) or Jamie Mullin (jmullin@scca.com). Motorsportreg.com provides the date/time of registrations to determine who registered first and is the rightful owner of the number combination.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
Please contact Brian Harmer (bharmer@scca.com) or Jamie Mullin (jmullin@scca.com) with questions or to cancel.
Please review valuable information regarding refunds below.
Partial refunds (SCCA keeps $20) for cancellations IF:
Entrant cancels PRIOR to 6:00 pm central the Wednesday before the event.
NO REFUNDS for cancellations IF:
Entrant cancels AFTER 6:00 pm central the Wednesday before the event.
Waitlist Policy
The Tire Rack SCCA National Solo events (ProSolo, Champ Tour, Match Tour) are incorporating a new waitlist policy for 2018:
Onsite Event Registration and Car/Class Changes
For any event that is not sold out, on-site registration is allowed from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday and for the first 30 minutes of registration on the day of competition. All on-site registrations will be charged the event late fee (see event registration page for pricing). Car and class changes are allowed at check-in on Friday from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm and during the first 30 minutes of registration on Saturday. The purpose of allowing changes the morning of day 1 competition is to allow entrants time the night before to find a way to make a class. Any car or class changes made after the first 30 minutes of registration on Saturday require the approval of the Chief Steward for the event.
