Event Requirements

Tech Inspection:  7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Before getting into the Tech line, remove all loose articles from the interior and trunk of the vehicle.  This includes floor mats that are not fastened to the carpets. All removable wheel covers must be removed.

Mandatory Driver’s Meetings at:  8:15 a.m. and 12:40p.m. You must attend the driver’s meeting to drive. Novices must be present for the all drivers meetings and will not be admitted after morning meeting.

Cost, Membership and Identification
The driver and co-driver registration fees are listed on the registration page and are time sensitive.  All driver are welcome at our events and event membership is part of the registration fee.  A valid driver’s license, and insurance card carrier/policy numbers are required.

General Requirements and Safety Regulations (Read This Section Carefully)

Helmets are Mandatory:  Acceptable helmets are SNELL rated SA, M or K 2010 or later (Snell sticker must be inside the helmet).    DOT Helmets are not acceptable.

Brakes must be in good condition with fresh brake fluid recommended. Tires must be in good condition and properly inflated. Wheel bearings and all suspension components must be in good condition. Wheel lugs should be tightened to manufacturer’s specs. The battery must be secure in the vehicle.  

A securely mounted (interior) 1A10BC fire extinguisher is highly recommended

The driver and passenger MUST wear a combination seat belt/shoulder belt.  A maximum of one passenger will be allowed per car in the Advanced and Instructor groups only.  No one under 18 is allowed on the track or in any hazardous areas.  All minors must have a signed release.

We allow open cars with structural and/or factory roll protection to run at our events (e.g.  4 point rollover protection or cage, factory rollover protection or safety systems).

Examples of vehicle with factory protection systems are:  BMW Z3 (2000 and newer), Z4, 1 and 3 Series (E46 and newer) Convertibles, Porsche Boxster and Cabriolet (996/997), Audi TT Roadster, Honda S2000 and Ferrari 360/430 Spider.

We do not allow convertibles without rollover protection to run. 

 

Event change and cancellation policy for Portland BMW Club HPDE Days

We will accept event changes and cancelation up to 48 hours before the event and you will receive a credit* towards a Portland BMW Club HPDE event in the same calendar year; if we can fill your spot for that event.

If we are not able to fill your spot for this event then there will be no credit offered.

*A $40 cancelation fee will be assessed if we are able to move your registration to another day in the same calendar year. 

Event credits are non-transferable.
