So, you like cars, you love driving, and you’ve been to a few autocrosses. Maybe you made it to a novice school. Maybe you’ve just been to a good number of events. You may have even started to modify your car specifically for autocrossing. Sway bars, tires, brake pads, you even got a really big hat. But now what? What’s the next step? What do I do to get better, to push myself, to get to the next level? How do I improve?

NCR is holding it's first Intermediate School for those with some autocross experience.  We want to be clear right from the start: this is NOT a novice school. If you’re a true novice to autocrossing, this school may not be for you. This is for autocrossers. For people who know what an autocross is already and want to improve. The goal of this school is improvement. To gain and improve skills needed to succeed at autocrossing and car control in general. The event will have large, extended sections of specific elements that will be run repeatedly throughout the day, with the goal being comprehension of how to run each element. When this school is over, we hope that participants can go to any autocross event, recognize individual elements, remember how to execute them, and chain together solid, consistent runs. We want to help you grow and improve, and that’s what this school is all about. 

As an added bonus, if you come out to our intermediate school on Saturday, we will give you a discount for our autocross event on Sunday to put what you’ve learned to the test. If you’re at the intermediate school, Sunday’s event is $20 off the normal cost of registration.

Directions:  Must enter through the Main Gate.  The Guards will likely give you a placard for the Autox.  On the back of that is a map to the event site.  Just in case, once on base continue on the main road until you pass the flightline (hard to miss no trees speed limit picks up and there is a sign).  Just past flightline there is a stop light, turn right and it is your last right just after Duffy Road and before the T intersection that end of the road.  There is usually a sign at the stoplight and just before the turn in to the flight line that say AUTO-X and an arrow.

Drivers must be 16 years of age and hold a valid drivers license. Drivers under 18 years of age must fill out a minor waiver. All vehicles must pass a technical inspection and helmets must be SNELL 2005 or newer. Loaner helmets are available.

-$20 - Member and Non-members Civilians, Active Duty
 

• All participants must sign an SCCA Release and Waiver form onsite. Minors (under age 18) must have a Minor Waiver printed in color and signed by BOTH parents. Look for the form labeled "SCCA Minor Notary".
