Fall 2013 Driver's Education Weekend
October 19th and 20th, 2013

*** NOTE:  Because of the impending great weather for this weekend's event we have extended the registration to 4:00 PM, October 16th
to allow a few more "weather-watchers" to register. ***

Registration will open August 1st for our third Driver Education Event of the 2013 season.   This is not a racing school but rather a safe, high speed driving school, conducted on a race track under close supervision by experienced instructors. You will learn how to handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads. This will help to prepare you for emergencies in normal driving. It will also allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle.

The event is open to all drivers (18 years and older) and all makes of cars. It is not a "BMW only" event. All cars and drivers will be subject to the same safety and inspection requirements. NOTE:  For this, and all future Lone Star Chapter BMWCCA Driver's Education events, ALL Driver and Instructor registrants MUST be active BMWCCA members, and your member number will be verified by the National Office before your registration is complete.  If your membership has lapsed, or if you have yet to become a BMWCCA member, please visit www.bmwcca.org to renew or enroll BEFORE completing this event registration.

Event Fees (full 2-day weekend only)

Driving School EARLY BIRD Registration (Before September 23rd, 2013):  Advanced Students $275, Novice and approved Intermediate students $295

Driving School Regular/LATE Registration (September 23rd - October 15th):  Advanced Students $305, Novice and approved Intermediate students $325

NOTE:  Charges will not be processed until September 30th.  Registration closes on Wednesday 10/16/13 at 12:00pm

REQUIRED: All student entrants in all run group levels MUST have a passenger seat with equal level restraints for both the driver and the instructor. IE). If the driver has a 5 point harness, the passenger must as well.  You must have your technical inspection form completed by a certified mechanic prior to the event.  There is no provision to conduct technical inspections at the facility the day(s) of the event.

All registration will be handled online for this event. We anticipate filling up quickly, so register promptly!  Your registration application will be reviewed by the Registrar and the Chief Driving Instructor (for proper classification) and if any changes are necessary you will be notified by email.

We will be running 4 student run groups - NOVICE, INTERMEDIATE,  ADVANCED and ADVANCED(+).  NOVICE and INTERMEDIATE run group students will each have an instructor for the weekend.  Advanced students new to our events may start the weekend with an instructor.  All run group assignments will be reviewed by the Chief Driving Instructor (CDI) and run adjustments may be made at his sole discretion.
