Availability
Our team will activate the Text Message Blater on your account within a few hours after purchase. Once the feature is activated, event attendees will begin seeing the option to opt-in to text messages when they register for your events.
Opt-in Requirements
The laws and regulations around text messaging are strict. To protect your organization from being fined for text message spam, your members are required to "opt-in" to receive text messages from your organization.
This means that your members are required to select an option that says "Yes, I want to receive text messages from [Your Org Name]." The laws also require that we send a welcome text message to let the phone holder know that it has been opted-in. This "welcome" message protects your organization from someone entering someone else's number without notice.
This unfortunately means that we cannot send text messages to your existing list of mobile phone numbers as these numbers are not opted in to receive text messages.
We are continuing to add new ways to help your attendees opt-in to receive messages.
