Hello all,

There is going to be a change in the Event 3 registration and run format. This is just a trial run and will only be utilized during Event 3, unless it goes well then we may try it again in the future. We had a great turnout for the first two events and because of this we are looking at ways to possibly streamline our event format. Being the chief of registration and the chair for this event, I would like to try and implement a SINGLE registration period for ALL cars that want to participate in Saturday’s event. What I mean by this is that I am NOT going to utilize the afternoon registration period. Everyone that wants to participate in Event 3 registers in the morning between 7-830am. Course walks will close at 830, a mandatory drivers meeting at 840 and the first car will be starting their runs at 9am. I will be utilizing the timing software to distribute the classes evenly into 2 run groups and we will work and run accordingly. With this format the software will allow for an efficient run group split which opens the possibility of getting in more runs by the early afternoon, and also giving us the opportunity of making additional runs after a lunch break. So once more to recap, here is my timeline:

0700-0830 – ALL cars and drivers at the fairgrounds to register for the day’s event

0830 – Registration and course walks closed

0840 – Mandatory drivers meeting

0900 – First car on course

THERE WILL BE NO AFTERNOON REGISTRATION!!!!
