Event Requirements

  • All Drivers and Passengers must be 18+
  • All Run Groups May Have Passangers
  • Unlimited Sound Limit
  • SA2010 or greater helmet highly recommended but not required
  • Tow hooks or tow points are required on the front and rear of car.  If your car has a mechanical malfunction and must be towed, OnGrid will be forced to find a way to tow your car off the track. OnGrid and Buttonwillow are not liable for any damages sustained while your car is being towed.  Please make sure you have tow hooks, straps or points that you can easily point out to the tow truck driver.  If you need a tow without a hook, strap or tow point, OnGrid will charge you $100.  Please make sure you have this prior to entering the track.
  • Inside the car you should ensure there are no lose objects that might fly around.
  • Vehicles may not enter the track if they are leaking any fluids.
  • Numbers are required on both sides of the car and must be 8 inches tall and 4 inches wide or bigger. 
  • Convertibles are required to have roll over protection.  A vehicle with factory pop-up roll over protection is allowed to enter the track surface.   Drivers and passengers with convertibles must pass the broom stick test.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us: ongridtrack@gmail.com

    How To Preform Broomstick Test:

  • Put helmet on and get in the car
  • Place one end of the broom/stick on the top of the windshield and the other end on top of the roll hoop/bar, behind your head
  • The broom/stick must not touch your helmet nor your head, in order to pass the test and to be allowed on track

Group 1 - Intended for drivers with a small amount of track experience. (usually 1-5 days)
This group allows drivers to focuses on furthering their comfort on track and taking the correct racing lines without being pressured.
Point By Passing is Mandatory and only allowed on the straights.

Group 2 - High Intermediate is intended for drivers with a medium level of track experience. (usually 6-10 days)
This group is similar to Group 1 but for drivers with more experience and awareness.
Open Passing Allowed on Straights when safe. Point-Bys are still Required on Corners.

Group 3 - Intended for drivers with a greater amount of track experience. (usually 11+ days).
Group 3 is the same a Group 4, but intended for drivers with slower cars (around 2:11 or faster lap times).
Open Passing is Allowed everywhere.

Group 4 - Similar to Group 3 but for drivers with faster cars (2:02 or faster lap times generally).
This group will have a low car count and is great for drivers looking for fast laps.
Open Passing is Allowed everywhere.

 

  • OnGrid reserves the right to place you in a different run group then what you registered for if we do not feel you do not belong in the registered group.  Please follow the specific guidelines and sign up for the appropriate group.  Thank You.
