Text & Waiver allows you to customize the copy that appears to your attendees. The four steps of our registration process can be tailored for each event:

  1. Advertisement - first page from your direct link or the calendar
  2. Pre-Registration Requirements - more details and requirements
  3. Registration form - controlled by our form builder
  4. Confirmation - on-screen and via email

These steps, along with the optional waiver/acknowledgement and offline payment directions are all customizable using the rich text editor. No knowledge of HTML is required.

Only the Advertisement and Pre-Reg Requirements are available to the public. To go beyond, an account with username and password is required (plus registration must be open). Keep in mind that potential participants will be making a go or no-go decision based upon the content of these two pages.

As a general strategy, try to keep your text and waiver copy generic. By reducing the amount of event-specific details in the copy, there will be less content to change from event to event when cloning new events.

For example, if you provide basic pricing information on the Advertisement page, you could list a schedule of all your prices and leave the event-specific pricing to the registration form.

If you wish to include images or documents in your material, they must be available on the web at a public URL. See more on uploading documents.

The "why-to-buy" description for your event. Why should people come out and join in the fun?

We recommend including some basic pricing information here, particularly for events that don't have a long list of prerequisites for participation such as autocross or car control clinics.

Embed images using the rich text editor to co-brand the registration flow with your logo, sponsors or flyers. Remember to keep your images less than 500 pixels wide to avoid intruding on the Host and Venue detail that appears in the right sidebar.

Pre-Reg Requirements

Organizations generally list more detailed or minimum participation requirements like age, license or prior experience requirements. Links to supplemental regulations are also common on this page. We automatically include your cancellation policy (pulled from your basic settings) at the bottom of this page.

Pre-registration requirements

If you provide text in this field, we will display it on the registration form and include a checkbox the attendee must check acknowledging they have read and agree to the terms. This does NOT replace your paper liability waiver at the event but it gives your attendees the opportunity to read it in advance at their leisure.

Many organizations copy in their insurance waiver language here and race organizations often copy in a statement where the participant acknowledges they will abide by the competition rules for the event.

waiver and acknowledgement

If you leave this field blank, nothing is displayed on the registration form.

Offline Payments

For Premium and White Label plan customers whose basic settings allow offline payments, payment directions in this box will be displayed alongside our credit card and e-check processing options as in the following screenshot:

Offline payment options

Examples for this page include a mailing address for checks, email address for Paypal or directions on bringing cash or check to the event.

Upon successfully registering, a confirmation is displayed on the screen that includes the packages, order total and any payments made. You can customize the text in the middle of the screen.

Web confirmation

A "thank-you" along with any reminders about requirements, lodging and rules are generally listed here.

Email Confirmation

The email confirmation is sent upon successfully completing the registration. It generally contains the same content as the web confirmation but is plain-text for deliverability purposes. As a result, formatting and HTML are stripped.

Email confirmation

The email is technically a multi-part message with an HTML and plain-text component. The HTML confirmation uses our standard template and inserts your plain text in the middle with an attempt to retain your line breaks and white space. For best results, put one blank line between paragraphs in order to ensure correct formatting. Try to avoid ending each line with a single "return" or new line.
