Workers Maverick DE April 28, 29

Motorsport Ranch - Cresson

About this event

Long message, lots of info, please read it all.

Time to go play again! Maverick PCA is presenting a Driver Education at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson on April 28 and 29.  We're running the 3.1 mile course counter clockwise.  We need a maximum of 24 workers, including corner workers, control, grid and gate, so please sign up early.  We've had a little better response by workers at the last couple of events, so please sign up early.  If you know of anyone that might be interested in working, please have them sign up a MotorsportReg.com and then send me an email so I can send them an invitation.  We announced the work/drive program and have had a couple of responses already.  If they sign up, I'll be putting them with one of you experienced people to show them the ropes.  Thanks in advance for helping develop new workers.

There is also a change in the gate waiver sign in process.  It turns out there are two different waivers for people to sign, one for MotorSport Ranch and one for the Porsche Club.  I didn't know this and have been having the gate worker get the MSR waiver signed, but not the PCA waiver.  Now that I know the difference, we're going to have the gate worker get only the PCA waiver signed.  If MSR wants to put their own gate worker out there, that'll be up to them.

Also, to prevent any entry traffic jams early in the morning, we're going to have two gate workers from 6:30 to 7:30 and we'll start the safety meeting at the tower at 7:30.  If you'd like to work the gate either all day or just for the first hour, please let me know.  The one hour job pays an extra $10.

Lastly, good news!  The Club Board has given most positions a raise!  The new rates, per day, are:

Corner worker - $115    Control and Logger - $140    Grid - $130    Gate - $100

One more lastly - My wife committed me to something on the 28th that I cannot back out of, so I won't be there that day.  Dave A. has agreed to handle things in my place.

Good  looking cars, pay, lunch, refreshments - standard stuff. What's not to love?

Event requirements

We're scheduled to run the 3.1 mile course.  We need a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 24 workers, including Control, Gate and Grid. Please sign up as early as possible so I can get all the assignments made early.

I will periodically acknowledge those who have applied. I will set the roster early the week of April 23 and will let you know your position assignment. I will accommodate novices as best I can based on having experienced folks to do training while staffing a safe track.
