We are very excited to announce the 2019 Winter Celebration Party! This is an excellent opportunity for you to socialize with fellow BMW enthusiasts, celebrate the accomplishments our chapter has achieved during the last year, learn about the many events your chapter has planned for the year and hear a very interesting speaker.
Location information:
The party is scheduled for February 23rd at 6:00 PM, returning to Golden Valley Brewery (1520 NW Bethany Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97008) https://www.goldenvalleybrewery.com/beaverton-pub , where we held our NW BMW Motorfest event for 2 years. With a great location, a selection of delectable food choices, excellent Golden Valley beer (among others), and this facility has one large room for our members to enjoy the evening. The banquet room will hold up to 70 people so please register early before it’s sold out. Again this year, your chapter will lower the cost of the dinner to $25 per person thru a generous subsidy from your club!
Guest Speaker:
Your chapter is very fortunate and privileged to have E.C. Mueller as guest speaker! E.C. was hired 4 years ago as the manager of Portland International Raceway. From the Portland Parks and Recreation announcement: “E.C. spent 17 years at Intel Corporation working in marketing and technology. His experience included brand strategy projects, marketing operations, business management of Intel’s intranet and overseeing analytics of Intel’s sponsorship of the BMW Sauber Formula One racing team. Prior to Intel, Mueller worked at Nissan Motor Corporation in California where his duties included product planning, motorsports/event marketing and model line management.”
“I am excited to utilize my blended experience in motor sports, automotive and technology for this new role,” says Mueller. “Both motor sports in general and PIR in particular are in a time of transition. So that means there is a tremendous opportunity to service our customers in new and innovative ways.”
PIR needed revitalization as participation had gone down over the years. E.C. has done an excellent job of bringing back exciting events and races, culminating with the Grand Prix Indy Car Races last Labor Day Weekend.
