Plans have finally firmed up for our 60th celebration. SATURDAY August 29th We will be meeting as a group at the Portland Cars and Coffee event at the World of Speed Museum in Wilsonville This show starts at 8 AM and runs till 11. Carl Anderson has organized a touring/TSD rally departing from the museum, and ending near our picnic at the Willamette Mission State Park just north of Salem.
Timed starts will begin at 10:30 and run till everyone who wants too, heads out. Navigators are recommended, but you could run SOLO. There is NO ENTRY FEE for this event, and EVERYONE at Cars and Coffee will be invited. Additionally anyone who runs the rally, and presents their run card at registration at the JR Patterson autocross the next day(Aug. 30th) will receive the member discount on entry fee. There will be club swag given to the winners of the 3 classes, Vintage (pre 72) Modern, and rally prepared.
We have reserved the Filbert Grove day use area at the State Park, there is parking for 150 cars. If you want to skip the CC event you could go straight to the park around 1 PM. I encourage you to bring your hotrod, and any photos and memorabilia you might like to show to the group. We will be setting up a projector and screen or a large monitor to play videos and pictures. And tables to show off historical photos and news paper clippings documenting our 60 years.
