Please join the Carolinas Section in Asheville, NC for our Weekend in Western North Carolina starting Friday, June 11th through Sunday, June 13th.
After you have had a good night’s rest, we will meet up at 8:30 am at the Crowne Plaza and leave by 9:00 am to begin our scenic drive to Highlands, NC where we will take in the Highlands Motoring Festival and town of Highlands.
While in Highlands, you can see all of the 100 or so classic and exotic cars on display in the show. You may also wish to explore the wonderful boutiques and specialty stores in Highlands. Another attraction not to be missed is the FreeWheeling exhibit at the Bascom Center for the Visual Arts in Highlands. This exhibit will feature automotive artwork from many famous artists, in addition to three cars of significance – one of which is Clark Gable’s Jaguar XK120!
You will be free to see as much of Highlands as you like before returning to Asheville on your own. We will then meet up at the Crowne Plaza for a plated dinner, served in their outdoor, covered veranda at 7:00 PM. The meal will consist of salad, your choice of Chicken Marsala with Wild Mushroom Demi or Local Mountain Trout with Crab Stuffing and Lemon Hollandaise, and dessert. The cost of the meal will be $57.50 per person. A cash bar will be available.

Event requirements
Please register for the scenic drive to Highlands, NC and the Highlands Motoring Festival (no cost) so we will know how many cars will be participating.
Registration for the dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Resort is required for each attendee (selection of entree choices required) and must be made before Friday, June 4, 2021.
