About this event
Come join VRPerformance for an Open Track Day at Grattan Raceway!
Event requirements
This will be an open track day with no grouped sessions, in other words the track will go hot around 9 am, and stay hot until 5 pm with only a lunch break in between and the occasional shut-down to allow cars to cross the track (coming or going). A flagger will direct you onto the track when you want to go onto the track, and you may come in whenever you want.
If you are joining us it means that you have carefully considered the dangers of high speed track driving and are willing to accept the consequences. Your actions are yours alone. Personal responsibility is expected and we require everybody to act properly on and off the track. No racing! If you are a jerk in any way, a danger to yourself or anybody else your ass will be thrown out. Period.
Other responsibilities:

Other responsibilities:
- Tech inspection—you are responsible for having a safe car that is in excellent running condition. No fluid leaks, no smoke cloud out the back. Your tires should be in good condition and your wheels properly torqued. And most importantly, your brake pads should have plenty of friction compound left and the brake fluid should be fresh (changed within the last 6 months). We recommend high temp brake fluid and track pads.
- Helmets—are required. SA or M 1995 or newer.
- Insurance considerations—again the risk is yours. Your car must have insurance including standard liability coverage. To be as insurance friendly as possible, this will not be a timed event and we do not allow racing.
- Schedule—Grounds open up 7am. Track will be hot from 9 to 5. A short drivers meeting will take place around 8:45 and we’d like everybody to attend. Since the Grattan paddock is inside of the track, if you get there late you will have to wait until we have a break to get across. You also need to hunt myself or Eric down before you go out on the track should you miss the morning meeting.
- Lunch—you’re on your own. Bring plenty to drink, but save the beer until after we’re done.
- Gas—there is no gas at the track so be prepared to go offsite (just before) you run out.
- Passengers are allowed but only those who have paid are allowed to drive. You may bring more than one car.
- We will run rain or shine, no refunds. If you don’t show up don’t expect your money back.
- Be safe.
