Race Announcement / Schedule

Stay tuned for more information! We will send out an email prior to the event to give you information on when you can enter the track, will there be camping for the volunteers and general information needed for the Enduro. There will probably be changes due to Covid-19 so we are holding off giving information until we know all the details.

We will also update MSR.

Thank you for your patience.

I have a bit more information on the 46th Annual Enduro.

As of today, we have 23 entries for the 8-hour race.  I hope that we will have the same amount or more come Saturday October 16th.

Chris Heinrich, Race Chairman for the Enduro says there will be worker/volunteer camping both Friday and Saturday night.  Since there will be an event on Sunday morning, October 17th, I suggest that you camp on the south side of the track.  The area south of the start stand has cover and power.  I know in the past Dave and Julie on Pre-grid bring their motorhome, but everyone will have to vacate the North paddock on Saturday night.  Chris is working on a Saturday location for those coming from the north paddock and staying Sunday night.

We are still in need of more volunteers/workers.  I know it’s at the end of our racing season and everyone is tired and probably over worked with all the events we had this year.  We really need your help one more day.  At this time, we only have 22 volunteers/workers signed up.

In the old days we use to have teams that signed up for a turn and either had some type of potluck or did a BBQ for dinner.  We would have 5 or more on a team. I’m afraid the “old days” are gone.  In the past volunteers/workers provided their all their own food for the event.  As in the past, CSCC will not be giving out the $10 lunch cards.  Please bring enough food and snacks for being on your stations for 12 hours.  When I say stations, I mean everyone who will be in a volunteer/worker capacity for this event.  CSCC is working on providing some additional substance for your dinner.  I do not know what this might be at this time.

Please be prepared for any type of weather.  It’s October in Oregon.

I will try to answer any questions you may have.  Contact me at 503-860-6870  or gailfetterman@comcast.net

ANOTHER UPDATE FOR THE THE ENDURO.

Here’s an update for the 46th Annual Enduro.

Everyone coming for the Enduro will be using the main entrance.  Crossing to the North paddock will be at Start/Finish.

On Saturday the 16th, starting at 8AM, there will be a “Bubble Run” in the area of the outside parking lot and the dog lot.  Starting at 5:30PM, there will be a “Glow in the Night” run.

Cathy says the morning meeting will be at 8AM and the first practice will start at 9AM.

Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that the weather is only cloudy and cool.  At this time, we have 28 cars signed up for the 8-hour Enduro.

FOOD:  There will be some small pastries at the morning meeting.  I’ll check with Tim Stanley to see if he might be bringing the coffee.

LUNCH: The plan we have for lunch is to pick up the 6” subs from Subway and have them ready for the 11:15 break in the schedule. Keeping this time schedule will be up to Subway having the sandwiches ready for pickup.  If not, we will see that the lunches are delivered.  We will be adding chips to the sandwich.  But please bring your own snacks for during the day.  I’m sorry you won’t be able to pick what type of sub you would like.  I will try to have a small variety, but again it will depend on Subway having all the makings.  I will need to know if anyone requires a VEGITARIAN SUB. Please send me an email if required or wanted.

DINNER TIME:  We will be adding to what you have brought for snacks and food for the day.  I will be picking up fried chicken from Albertson’s.  I have been using Albertson’s for my family picnic for over 10 years.  They have large party packs. We will have individual boxes that will hold 1 breast, 1 thigh, 1 leg and 1 wing.  The plan at this time is to deliver the boxes around 5PM.  Again, this time frame will depend on having the chicken ready at the time of pickup.

PLEASE SIGN UP ON MSR SO I HAVE A HEAD COUNT.  IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE IS COMING BUT THEY HAVEN’T SIGNED UP, PLEASE ASK THEM TO DO SO.

Again, camping will be allowed in the area just south of Starters tower.  No one will be allowed to stay in the North paddock Saturday night.  Chris is working with PIR for an alternate area for anyone moving out of the North paddock and staying over.

There will be travel money, so please sign up on MSR, so I know who will be needing travel money.

SEE YOU SATURDAY OCTOBER 16TH.

THANKS
