VINTAGE AIRCRAFT WEEKEND - SATURDAY AUG 30, 2014 Paine Field, Everett, WA
Audi Club NW introduces a new event for 2014, and our first holiday weekend tour/social event.
Vintage Aircraft Weekend is a Labor Day weekend event at Paine Field, in Everett, sponsored by the Historic Flight Foundation. Everyone is invited to enjoy one full day of this event, on Saturday Aug 30, from 9:00am – 5:00pm. You may attend all, or just part of the day with the group. Each day has a full schedule of historic and vintage aircraft on static display, as well as flying events. There are aviation displays both inside the hanger and outside, as well as vendors for food and drink.
Vintage Aircraft weekend is an opportunity for families to participate in a day of aviation history, as well as enjoy a social event with other Audi enthusiasts. For any aviation enthusiast, this event is a must, and one of the more unique opportunities that living in Seattle area brings to all of us. There are 3 aviation museums at Paine Field, as well as an occasional Boeing 777 or 747 flying in or out of the airport during the day. During the 2013 event, aircraft flying included a Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane, North American P-51 Mustang and Grumman F7F Tigercat.
Attendees of this event will be able to socialize and sit as a group in a raised area with a wonderful overall view of the airfield. Shade is at a premium on a sunny day, so be sure to bring protection from the sun. Upon setting up the group seating area upon arrival, each person may of course walk around the event as they wish; there will be no formal group activity with the exception of returning to the seating area to enjoy each other’s company. You are encouraged to bring a chair, sunshade, binoculars, a camera, and of course plenty of fluids. You may bring your own lunch if desired.
Drivers should plan to meet at Historic Flight Foundation at Paine Field, no later than 0830, to insure adequate parking onsite for the group. The address is 10719 Bernie Webber Dr, Mukilteo, WA 98275. Look for event leader Mark Yonker in a bright yellow Hyundai Tiburon in the large grass parking lot just below the HFF. We will enter the museum as a group just before 0900.
Admission to the event is as follows: Adult $15.00 Senior (65+) $10.00 Youth (6-15) $10.00 5 and under Free. Admission will be payable upon entering the facility. Unfortunately there are no group rates available on air show weekends.

Event requirements
Everyone must sign the Waiver when participating in the toure. This requirement includes drivers and guests; it makes you part of the club's insurance coverage. Parents must also sign a Teen Waiver on behalf of teens. No exceptions.
