MassBMW welcomes you to our inaugural HPDE event Tracktoberfest. We are proud to bring this event to our large club and to other high performance driving enthusiasts.
We have put together a very unique event we know will appeal to everyone.
Tracktoberfest features:
- 2 advanced / instructor groups (Group 1: point by anywhere & Group 2: open passing)
- 4 x 25 minute sessions
- A fifth 30 minute combined advanced group session
- A 45 minute track walk at lunch
- A car show with food trucks, vendors and giveaways for the whole family - ALL MAKES AND MODELS
- A very affordable event!
- Excellent highly qualified instructors
Palmer Speedway is Massachusetts one and only road course that opened in 2015. Palmer Speedway is rated one of the best and most challenging road courses in America. It’s 2.3 miles features many elevation changes as it was literally carved into the side of a large hill.
We are happy to have Eric Rossini as our head instructor who has been here since the track’s inaugural event in 2015. Eric has coached for Hooked on Driving, Chintrackdays, SCDA, BMWCCA (white mountain), Audi NEQ.
Our run groups will be categorized as such:
GREEN Novice: passing in straights only (no experience necessary)
BLUE Intermediate: passing in straights only (must have been previously signed off to drive solo)
BLACK Advanced / Instructor 1: passing anywhere with point by (must have previous advanced experience)
RED Advanced / Instructor 2: open passing (not for everyone! Please be 100% comfortable with passing anywhere on track)
**All intermediate and advanced drivers must provide a driving history. Please provide extensive details. We want to make sure everyone is in the appropriate group for a safe, fund and challenging event**

Event requirements
Helmets with a SA-2010 or SA-2015 rating are REQUIRED for this Event
Helmets with an M-rating are not Acceptable. Motorcycle helmets do not have the proper safety requirements for car use, specifically a rollbar multi-impact test.
Helmets MUST have one of these two labels on the inside.
Helmets may be available to rent for $50 upon request, limited sizes and rentals are available. If you are not able to get one prior to event, email us and we may be able to reserve you a rental.

Convertibles:
For safety reasons, all convertibles (Boxster, Miata, Corvette, BMW Z4, Honda S2000, Pontiac Solstice etc.) are required to have a roll bar that meets the following two criteria in order to be eligible to run during any event. 1) The roll bar must be in the fixed position and visible at all times. This means that roll bars which are designed to automatically deploy are not acceptable unless they are in the full upright and locked position at all times. 2) The roll bar must allow the driver to pass the “broomstick” test which means that the top of the drivers helmet must be below the line from the top of the roll bar to the top of the windshield. There are aftermarket roll bars and/or seats which can be used to help meet these requirements. If your convertible meets these standards, then you are welcome to participate! Factory hard tops are acceptable at most tracks, as well.
