Tire Rack Street Survival Registration

Monroe Community College

About this event

Instructor and Staff Registration for Tire Rack Street Survival school at Monroe Community College, Rochester, NY.

NOTE:  This is NOT the registration site for TRSS students.
Registration for students may be accessed here:  http://www.streetsurvival.org

TRSS is a one-day course teaching car-control principles and techniques to teen drivers. Instructors accompany students driving their own vehicles (including everything, from Porsches to pickups, SUVs and family vans) through a variety of challenging exercises that simulate real-life driving situations.  Instructors teach effective use of brakes and steering in an emergency accident avoidance situation, controlling a vehicle on slippery surfaces, sudden lane changes, the consequences of distracted driving, and so on.  Students alternate between exercises and participation in an interactive classroom environment where the principles of vehicle control are discussed and illustrated.  Students are given the chance to explore the limits and limitations of their vehicles and themselves, and come away from the experience more confident and skilled in the art of driving.

Please consider volunteering to help teens learn to be safe and competent drivers!  We need both in-car instructors and volunteers to help staff the event.

Breakfast, lunch, beverages, and a TRSS Street Survival instructor shirt, are provided.

To learn more about TRSS please go to our chapter's website: http://www.gvc-bmwcca.org/StreetSurvival/WhatsNew.aspx
