Tire Rack Street Survival Instructor/Volunteers

St. Charles Family Arena

About this event

Saturday, October 26, 2019, 7:00AM-4:30PM

The St. Louis Region SCCA is hosting a Tire Rack Street Survival® school. We are looking for instructors and volunteers for this event. We are asking everyone to register via Motorsport Reg to make it easy to communicate information with you about the event.

We are looking to have all the Instructors certified as "In Car Coaches". Instructors must complete the online instructor course. The minimum age for in-car coaches is 18 years of age. For coaches that are not members of the SCCA, a temporary membership will be provided to you at no charge.

As a reminder, this is a "hands-on" driving experience using the student's own car to teach them about its handling limits and how they can control the car. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves. They will understand why they should always wear their own seatbelts, and why they should insist that their passengers wear seatbelts, too. It's about more than driving - it's about LIVING!

Event requirements

If you are signing up as an instructor, you must complete the online instructor course.
