Please join us on Sunday, September 29th for a time-speed-distance (TSD) road rally followed by our annual THSCC potluck picnic!
TSD Road Rally
For anyone unfamiliar, the objective of a time-speed-distance (TSD) road rally is to drive each segment of a course, usually comprised of public roads, in a specified time at a specified average speed.
Drivers must be licensed, but navigators and passengers of any age are welcome. This event is open to all cars that are road legal and all traffic regulations must be obeyed. This year the rally will cost $15 to cover insurance.
The rally will both start from and end at the Duke Forest Rigsbee Pavilion, off 751. Please arrive for the rally by 9:30AM Sunday morning, and all participants are encouraged to hang around after for the picnic.
Picnic
The picnic will start at 1PM at the Duke Forest Rigsbee Pavilion (Gate F) off NC 751. The site will be marked with a THSCC banner and offers covered picnic tables, an outhouse, a grill, a fire pit, and a volleyball net.
What to bring:
- Side dish or dessert (hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers will be provided)
- Drinks (still/fizzy water and soda will be provided, but BYOB)
- Outdoor games (e.g., cornhole, frisbee, volleyball, soccer ball, etc.)
- Camp chairs
- Pop-up canopy
