Texas Pony Party

We think that every birthday deserves a party. Yes, even a non monumental 57th birthday.
So fire up your favorite Ponies, aged 1-57 and join us for a big birthday celebration for our beloved Mustang's birthday at the first annual Texas Pony Party. It will be a four-day party centered around our pretty ponies, including a scenic hill country cruise or two. Friday evening we'll do a cruise to the Drive-In movie theater just like the Ponies from the sixty's and seventy's did on Friday nights way back in the beginning. Saturday brings a car show where your baby can shine for all to see. Of course, no Texas shindig is complete without a good ol' barbeque meal. Whether you have been the proud driver of Mustangs for 58 years or you have just started your relationship, this is going to be a great weekend to get together and have fun.

For those family members, who for some odd reason don't want to spend the day cruising or hanging out at a car show, San Marcos has lots to offer. There is shopping (TWO outlet malls), winery , brewery and distillery tours, museums, glass-bottom boats on the river, amazing food and lots of parks and trails. If it is a warm day nothing beats tubing on the San Marcos river for a few relaxing hours. If chill isn't your style you can take a drive along US -130. It may seem like an unpretentious roadway, but with an 85mph speed limit, it is the fastest road in North America. You can add that to your " been there, done that" resume.
