The 2017 St. Louis Region SCCA PDX Series
A Precision Driving Experience (PDX) is an opportunity to work with an instructor and get practice in car handling and precision driving in your own car on the 1.6-mile road course at Gateway Motorsports Park. This is a non-competitive, un-timed event. Drivers are grouped by prior experience. For safety, drivers are required to wear a helmet, long sleeved shirt and long pants.
This event is an SCCA LEVEL 1 – PDX event in accordance with SCCA Time Trial Rules, which can be found at:

Drivers will be assigned to the NOVICE, INTERMEDIATE or ADVANCED groups based on prior driving experience and performance. All drivers will have assigned instructors. Depending upon a driver's progress the day of the event, drivers may advance to another group, based on the recommendation of their instructor and the approval of the Chief Instructor.

Cost: PDX event $175 per Driver. 5 sessions per group are planned; Novice, Intermediate and Advance.
All drivers must be SCCA members. Temporary Memberships are available for $15.
Time Trials are open to PDX Advanced and Intermediate Drivers as well as Club Racers.
Price for time trials is $35 per session, two sessions are planned if you run both it will be $60 total - one in the morning and another in the afternoon.
If you sign up for PDX, time trials is reduced to $25 per session, $50 for both sessions.
PDX instructors will run PDX sessions at no cost, however if you want to run time trials the $25 fee will apply.
NOTE: if you want to run Time Trials, Transponders will be available from the KARTPLEX, located on site at the track complex. Please drive over there to register for your Transponder, the cost is $15 payable to the Kartplex, they do accept credit cards or cash.
You will also need to post a number on your car, the side and the hood/roof so it can be easily read from above.
Parking under the shed is at no cost, first come first served.

Event requirements

Time Trials will fall under SCCA LEVEL 2 - PDX Time Trials Rules.
All drivers are responsible to understand and adhere to the Supplemental Regulations, which can be found at: http://stlpdx.com/uploads/2015_Supps.pdf
All drivers' are required to present a self tech sheet at registration for each event. All convertibles and targa top vehicles must have a roll-bar that meets the rules of SCCA TTR, or a factory hardtop. or documentation from the manufacturer that they have roll over protection. All participants MUST wear a helmet, long sleeved shirts, long pants and full shoes. All helmets meeting the latest or two immediately preceding Snell Foundation standards (SA2010, SAH2010, SA2005, SA2000, M2010, M2005, M2000, K2010, K2005, K98), SFI standards 31.1, 41.1, 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A, 41.2A or British spec BS6658-85 type A/FR are acceptable.
All drivers must be SCCA members. Temporary memberships are available for $15.
No Trailers may go through the tunnel at Gateway Motorsports Park.
