The St. Louis Region PCA is hosting a Tire Rack Street Survival® school at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, IL with assistance from SCCA St Louis Region & BMWCCA St Louis Chapter. The event will be held in the South East parking lot by the Drag Strip. We are looking for instructors and volunteers for this event.
We are asking instructors to register via MotorsportReg to make it easy to communicate information with you about the event. We are looking to have all the Instructors certified as "In Car Coaches". Instructors must complete the online instructor course. The minimum age for in-car coaches is 18 years of age.
As a reminder, this is a "hands-on" driving experience using the student's own car to teach them about its handling limits and how they can control the car. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves. They will understand why they should always wear their own seatbelts, and why they should insist that their passengers wear seatbelts, too. It's about more than driving - it's about LIVING!
