SPEED-FANATICS' Advanced Racing Seminar with Darryl O'Young
February 22, 2020. 9am - 3pm
Darryl O’Young is a Canadian born and raised driver who started karting locally at a young age. His single minded approach to achieving his goals has made him a multiple-championship winning driver. He won his first Karting Championship at the age of 9 and at 21 won his first Formula Ford Race in North America. The turning point of his career came at the age of 23 when Porsche Hong Kong sponsored him in the Carrera Cup Asia series. Since then Darryl has won numerous international races, making his mark as a distinctive professional in the Hong Kong racing industry. In 2013, Darryl became the first racing driver in Hong Kong to be awarded the ‘Hong Kong Sports Stars Award’, after his 2nd place class finish at the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2015, he participated in the GT Asia Series and became the first Hong Kong driver to be crowned champion of the series. To date, Darryl has raced in over 30 countries in the past 15 year since becoming a professional race driver.
Darryl will keep you engaged throughout the workshop and provide practical approaches to improve your driving – things you can begin working on right now, and throughout the rest of your driving career.
The content which Darryl will share with you is the same as he uses when coaching elite level pros, club racers, and track day drivers throughout the world. And now he’s bringing it back home!
