The Hawaii Region of the Sports Car Club of America will be holding an SCCA Hawaii Kart Racing Social Rally on Saturday, October 11th, 2014 from 8:30am to 12:30 noon. The social rally will be held at the The Groove Kart Track in Honolulu, Hawaii. We are happy to say that we were able to secure special pricing from The Groove for the party. The Groove is offering special hours, 2 Kart races and a Main Event for all SCCA Hawaii Rallyists, the use of their Party Room for 4 hours and lunch for the party.
Doors open at 8:30AM, Drivers Meeting at 8:45AM and heat 1 begins around 9:00AM. Everyone will get 2 guaranteed Kart races and a Main Event, Lunch around 11:30AM. Lunch choices are:
1) 1/4lb sirlion steak burger with cheese, fries and 12oz drink
2) Mississippi Chicken (grilled whole leg) 2 scoops rice, tossed salad and 12oz drink
The Groove will also allow us to bring some outside snacks like dessert, etc. But we need to purchase any other food and drinks from their onsite vendors.
Registration fees are $50 for current SCCA members and $65 for all others. We will also be inviting the principles from The Sand Box Offroad Park so we can meet each other and hopefully help each other grow our programs.
Only checks or money orders payable to SCCA Hawaii-Rally will be accepted at the event.
Please note that the non-member fee includes an SCCA Weekend membership and will give you a $15-discount towards full SCCA membership, which includes a subscription to SportsCar (our national magazine).
Event requirements
Participants must present a valid driver’s license, and if under 18-years of age, they must contact the Region for a waiver form. This form will need to be signed by the participant’s parents prior to competition. SCCA Hawaii will apply for event insurance under the Social Rally criteria. Participants will be covered by The Groove's insurance while on the Kart Track.
