SCCA Atlanta Rallycross 2014 Event #1

Durhamtown Plantation

About this event

Get 2014 started off right with an Atlanta Region Rallycross at Durhamtown Plantation. We have run a few events at this site, and it has proven to hold up well and be relatively smooth throughout the event.  Food and family friendly restrooms are right down the road at the lodge.

Come out and play in the dirt!

If you have questions about where your car would class, you can look at the rule book or just register and we can help you get in the right class at the event.

** A few of you may know we had an issue with extremely wet track conditons at the last event, causing it to be abrutly cancelled.  We have had discussions with the property owner to prevent this from happening in the future.  In the unlikely event we need to reschedule, you will be notified 48 hours before the event. **

Event Entry Fee:

$35 for SCCA members

$45 for non-SCCA members

(Collected on site)

Site Entry Fee:

$10 gate fee for spectators

You'll have to sign a park waiver. Durhamtown is an offroad park and your spectator fee covers you as a spectator for the entire facility for the day.

Event Format:

8 timed runs, calculated time is cumulative for all 8 runs (all your runs count!)

Schedule:

09:00 Course walking/tech/registration

10:00 Driver's meeting

10:30 1st car off

Event requirements

1.  If you have a helmet, it needs to be per the SCCA rules 6.3.P - basically a 2000, 2005, or 2010 Snell rated helmet.  We'll have a couple of loaners that you can use for your runs.

2.  Drivers are reminded that unless you have a window net, the windows need to be at least within 1" of being all the way up.  Of course you need to keep your hands and any other body parts inside the car.

3.  Recording devices must be mounted to the vehicle.  Holding your cell phone to record a run is a no-no.

4.  Your car will be inspected to ensure that it is safe to drive.  If you're battery tie down has gone to battery tie down heaven, get another one.  A bungy cord isn't gonna work.  Your battery needs to be held securely.

5.  If you're running street tires, please inflate them to at least 40#.  Anything less and you risk debeading during a run.
