BREAKING NEWS!!! We have NO idea what COVID effect there'll be by mid-June, so stay tuned for MSR E-mail updates. Here's what my foggy crystal ball foretells: Due to the recent COVID restrictions we are trying to return to some form of normalcy by returning to 100%/near-100% in-car instructions. Depending on the number of non-COVID compliant students & instructors we may have to have a lead-follow Green session, so PLEASE answer the COVID questions found in the registration document. If regulations continue to loosen plus both the student and instructor have completed full COVID vaccination process and feel safe together we will be doing in-car novice instruction in our yellow group. Lead/Follow students will NOT be intermixed with in-car instruction students.
Masks will be required for Green and Yellow indoor classroom sessions.
Green group is still in flux based on updated CDC guidelines and dependent on number of non-COVID compliant students. Instructors paired with in-car students will also require proof of vaccination. In-car instruction will be held in the Yellow run group. Blue, Red and Orange run groups will be run Solo as normal. No ride-alongs in Blue or Red groups unless both individuals have proof of vaccinations.
PLEASE bring your COVID proofs -- copy on your smartphone is OK -- to the Registration table.
We will be doing non-contact temp checks at Registration.
LODGING - We have reserved a block of rooms at the DoubleTree near the Grand Rapids Airport.
Camping is allowed in the track's paddock area Thursday-Saturday nights for $25/night
Tech Inspection form is posted below and on the the club website:

Grattan Friday Instructor Motorsport Safety Foundation Level 2 Certification, PCA B-level Instructor training and Advanced driver/solo Day
Instructors
All Rally Sport Region PCA instructors are welcome to participate in the Friday Instructor MSF Level 2 Certification. The format will consist of lead and follow, lapping and instructor development exercises. The purpose of this day is to offer our hard-working instructors a day to work on their own skills vs. those of others. The day is intended to thank them for their support as well as facilitate their improvement.
If an instructor from another club would like to participate in our Level 2 Certification, they must have completed MSF Level 1 Certification and have more than 5 years of instructing experience and submit their resume with a minimum of 3 references for review. If the instructor does not meet these requirements, they may sign up as a ‘solo student’ and request to start the RSR PCA Instructor Training (please refer to the RSR-PCA Instructor Training doc., online at http://rsp.pca.org/forms2/RSP_PCA_Instructor_Training.pdf ).
Participating Advanced Solo Students
Three solo run groups for experienced solo advanced students who attend at least 75% of RSP PCA track events during the calendar year (or at least 3 out of the last 5 weekend Drivers Education events) will be available.
Students who participate in the FIDD will have separate rules from the instructors similar to Driver’s Education days and will not be allowed to drive in all run groups.
All students wishing to participate in the FIDD are subject to review and participation is not guaranteed. Even when a student is accepted, their on-track behavior will be monitored. If students do not demonstrate appropriate track etiquette they will be asked to park their car for the remainder of the day and their money will not be refunded.
Proper Etiquette is defined as (but not limited to):
- Demonstrating excellent car control, (offs that require the track to shut down will not be tolerated)
- Knowledge of the limit of traction
- Condition-appropriate driving
- Respect for other cars, both while passing and being passed (ignoring mirrors will not be tolerated)
- Respect for flag stations and lead tower
Loaner/Rental Helmet Policy: Helmets are "loaned" to Green Group drivers only for a maximum of 4 events, cumulatively. Loaner helmets MUST be returned at the end of the event. Don't make me hunt you down!! After the 4th loan the club reserves the right to "rent" the helmet to the driver for $35/event. Loaners will be tracked effective 2021 season opener and will carryover to future years. All loaner helmets are SA2015 or SA2020 and all now have HANS anchors.
NEW FOR 2021 and beyond: PLEASE use the link below for electronic event waiver signatures.
