Saturday – Open Wheel (50 cars max) - four openings left

Sunday– Closed Wheel (50 cars max) - full; waiting list closed

Daily Schedule

Track open for all registered drivers for all sessions

Schedule revised  8/25 to allow for short worker breaks

    8:30 -10:00 - Open Track

    10:00 -10:10 - Break

    10:10 - 12:00 - Open Track   

    12:00 - 1:00 - Lunch

      1:00 - 2:30 - Open Track

      2:30 - 2:40 - Break

      2:40 - 4:00 - Open Track

      4:00 - 4:05 - Break

      4:05 - 5:00 - Open Track

Entry fee: $1000

$250 withdrawal fee if we cannot fill your spot.

Roger Kraus Tires WILL BE at the track on September 27-28. Call 800-510-7223 to pre-order any tires you may need.

Fuel service at track: 91 and 101 unleaded fuel and 110 leaded fuel will be available at the track pumps (any time with credit card).

Registration at the track:

Friday afternoon 12:00 to 5:00 PM at Ian Cook's motorhome, pre parking area (He WILL be first in line).

Saturday and Sunday Morning 7:30 to 8:30 in front of the class room building (in the paddock, right below Start/Finish).

 

Use the main entrance from Highway 68 for access – all other gates shown on the Laguna Seca map will be closed. If you Google Map “Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca”, you will find the staging area between “Old Track Area” and “Yamaha Marketplace”. The two-lane road from Hwy 68 into the track is VERY steep.

Please DO NOT arrive at Laguna Seca before 11 am Friday for pre-parking.

GCR 3.1.5. SCCA Practice Days

Practice Days are non-competition track days scheduled, sanctioned, and insured under standards included in Appendix B.

Practice Days are conducted according to the GCR. In addition, the following standards apply:

Each driver must be an SCCA member holding an SCCA Full Competition License, SCCA Pro License, Vintage License or an SCCA Novice Permit showing Drivers’ School requirements signed off as provided in AppC.2.7.D and F, or an SCCA approved license. A Novice Permit holder who is participating in an Alternate Drivers’ School may participate in SCCA practice days in accordance with the provisions of AppC.2.7.E.3. 3. Events

GCR Section 9.1 identifies the classes of cars eligible to compete in Practice Days.

A maximum of 25 cars per mile may be on the course simultaneously, with no exception.

Sound limit: 103 db all day

  • First incident over sound limit  =  black flag; ends your session
  • Second incident over sound limit  =  black flag; ends your day - no refunds

Vehicle Parking before Runoffs

Vehicles can be parked at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca between September 14 and the Runoffs. They must be moved to the Purple Parking lot and there will be no charge.  Those leaving a rig will need to sign a "Hold Harmless" release form that states MRLS is not responsible for any damage or theft.

Purple Parking is a dirt lot up above the racetrack.

Event requirements

If you do not already have a MotorsportReg account, please follow the steps below to create your account this first time. Next time you enter, just log into your account and future entries for SFR events will be quick and painless!

  1. If you do not already have one, create an account on MotorsportReg.com after reading these steps.
  2. Once logged in, click "My Account" in the top right
  3. Review your vehicle(s), making sure to enter your preferred number and your transponder number if you want to receive times.
  4. Enter your medical information for the Ambulance/Life Support crew.
  5. Now come back to this page and enter the event and pay online.


You will receive an email confirmation/receipt of your entry.  If you have any questions about the event, you can call the SCCA office at 530-934-4455 or email at office@sfrscca.org.  If you have technical issues with online entry for the event on MotorsportReg.com, you can contact their customer support during normal business hours at 415.462.5603 or by email here.

Drivers need to go through registration at the track to receive a wristband and car sticker.

Be sure to bring your current competition license!
