Please join us for First Settlers Region's 2010 Annual Charity Event, a Wine Tasting, Tour and Luncheon at the Williamsburg Winery in Williamsburg, VA on Saturday, July 24, 2010.

 

 

Schedule of Events:

 

Tour and Tasting:  10:15 – 11:15AM

 

Guests will enjoy a guided tour of the winery and be offered a variety of wines for tasting.  The tour will begin at Wedmore Place on the Winery grounds.  There will be designated Porsche parking, so look for signs or folks directing you to our parking area.  

 

Lunch at Wedmore Place:  11:30AM – 2:00PM

 

After the tour, guests will enjoy a pleasant walk back to Wedmore Place for a beautiful lunch in Café Provencal.

 

Lemon and oregano grilled chicken

Mixed greens, roasted peppers, red onion, cucumber, cherry tomatoes with honey and black pepper vinaigrette

Paired with James River White

 

Summer Berries paired with Vidal Blanc Sabayon

 

 

During lunch, our host, Mr. Patrick Duffeler, proprietor of Williamsburg Winery, will speak on his love of cars and his award winning winery.  We will also enjoy a silent auction to benefit our charities, featuring some fabulous items such as a Drivers Education registration, a weekend at the Virginia Beach waterfront Sheraton, and much more.

 

Event cost:  $40.00 per person.  Includes the tour, tasting, lunch, a souvenir wine glass and $5 donation to the First Settlers Region charities.

 

F and S Enterprises, the photo experts from Virginia International Raceway, will be on hand to take professional photos of you and your loved ones (both human and/or machine).  We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to purchase a souvenir photograph from one of our dedicated sponsors.

 

This event is limited to 54 attendees, so sign up early!

 

Meeting places and routes for the drives to the event from points east and west will be announced at a

later date.

 

If you desire to remain overnight at the Winery, rooms at Wedmore Place are available by calling 866-933-6673.  There is no prearranged block of rooms, but if you mention that you're with First Settlers, and at least 5 rooms are booked by FSR attendees, you'll receive a 10% discount on the room rate.
