About this event

Potomac's Porschefest 2016

PorscheFest is back! And this time it's being joined by the "PCA Experience".   So not just one circuit but all three Summit Point circuits will have food, entertainment, and Porsche stuff for everyone to enjoy! The Drive and Dine gang will meet north of Manassas and head out to Summit Point through the outback of Northern Virginia and West Virginia.  No helmet or racing tires required but keep your car in top shape for the drive!  Plus new this year, all drivers registering for and completing the drive from Manassas to Summit Point will receive a T-shirt (additional T-shirts can be purchased for each of your navigators for $13 each).

Our activities at the track will include the following:

  • A Charity Parade Laps event starting around 11:30 am where you'll have the chance to take parade laps around the track for about 15 minutes!  (Remember we said keep the car in top shape!)  Number of vehicles that can do it will be limited to 30 Drive and Dine vehicles, A donation of $20 is required for each vehicle participating in the Charity Parade Laps. The donation benefits Stafford Junction, a faith-based nonprofit organization tasked with improving the lives of children and their families in low-income neighborhoods in Stafford County through programs focusing on education, nutrition, and healthy living.(http://staffordjunction.org/)
  • This year,  the national PCA is introducing the "PCA Experience" at Summit Point in conjunction with Potomac's PorscheFest!   This event is designed to introduce the larger Porsche community to the PCA lifestyle. The Washington Circuit will be home to a massive festival - with food, music, activities for the spouses and kids, a Concours, rare cars,  dealer displays, demonstrations, and much more.  As we'll have access to the "Experience" event,  we will not have any box lunches as in past years, nor "dead time" after the lunch and other activities we've had in the past.   You will be able to access the different activities by taking a shuttle bus from the main circuit parking lot.

At 5:30 pm or when the track officially goes cold for the day, happy hour will take place behind the paddock back at the main circuit, followed by a BBQ dinner catered by Railside. Enjoy food and drink with the DE folks and other members!

RALLY POINT:  We will meet up at 9:30 am at NoVa Community College-Manassas student parking lot off Sudley Road north of I-66.

ROUTE:  Across the heart of western Loudoun and Clarke Counties into West Virginia. We should arrive at the track about 11-ish.

COSTS: Charity Parade Laps are $20 per registered vehicle (donation is to Stafford Junction),  BBQ Dinner/Happy Hour is $28, all held at the track.  One free T-shirt included with registration and completion of the drive, additional T-shirts $13 each.   EXTRA T-SHIRT ORDERING ENDED JULY 15, 2019.   Lunch will be on your own,  available at the PCA Experience being held at Washington and Jefferson circuits and accessible by free shuttle bus.  You can head over there after you've done your parade laps.

DEADLINE: Registration opens June 29.  Deadline to register is July 30.

OVERNIGHT:  There are no formal arrangements, but If you want to stay overnight, ,  there are a number of reasonable places in nearby Winchester, Charlestown, or quaint inns in Summit Point itself!  http://summitpoint-raceway.com/track-information/lodging/

If you have any questions please e-mail driveanddine@pcapotomac.org.   It's not just the cars, it's the people!
