July 11, 2020

Gooseberry Pie | Custom-Designed Illustrations ~ Creative Market

Please join us on Saturday July 11th for the “PORSCHE GOOSEBERRY PIE PICKUP” tour. On this tour we will travel the back roads on the west side of Pikes Peak through the area's historic and present day mining district. Some great twisting roads and magnificent views await you and your Porsche!

We will depart at 9:00 am from Bear Creek Park Pavilions (west side of 21st Street) on Argus Blvd. Plan to arrive at 8:30 am for registration and a mandatory driver’s meeting.

We will drive up Ute Pass to Divide, Colorado and then turn south on Highway 67 toward Cripple Creek. Once in Cripple Creek, we will stop for a break and visit the Heritage Center. After our break, we will depart Cripple Creek on Teller County Rd 1 toward Florissant. Before getting to Florissant, we will head south on Teller County Rd 11 and a great drive on High Park Road toward Canon City. From Canon City we will go east on US 50 to Penrose where we will stop at Gooseberry Patch restaurant for the Pie pickup! We are not planning an organized post-tour social; however, Florence and Canon City have many restaurants you may wish to visit on your own or you could bring a sack lunch to enjoy elsewhere.

Please choose from the following list of Pies and call Barbara at The Gooseberry Patch Restaurant in Penrose at 719-372-3910 to place your pre-paid order:

Apple, Cherry, Blueberry, Cherry Raspberry, Gooseberry, Rhubarb, Strawberry Rhubarb, Country Fruit (mixed berries and apples) Lemon Meringue, Chocolate Meringue, Chocolate Cream, Coconut Cream, Banana Cream, Snickers Peanut Butter, Butterfinger, Blackberry, Peach, Pecan. All of them are 10 inch pies and the prices range from$15.95 to $18.95. Tell them you're with the AMR Tour.
