This is an SCCA New England Region Autocross event. (Pre registration only)

Location: Devens Airfield, in Ayer Ma.

License requirement: A valid U.S. driver's license is required. See Solo Rulebook for details. (Except Jr. Kart drivers).  

Helmets: Snell M, SA 2000 or higher rated helmets required containing one of these decals:  2014 Helmet Decals  (Loaner helmets are available for novices)

CAM Class Regional Rules

Classes: All SCCA classes, a Novice index class, and CAM classes

  • Index classes (The form has a PAX pull down to select the SCCA class for the index)
  1. Novice - for everyone new to autocross
  2. Street R - Regional index for ASR thru HSR classes
  3. Pro index
  • CAM - RWD Classic American Muscle 
  1. Our region offers CAM1 (Pre 1973) and CAM2 (1973 and newer) 
  2. Currently the region can not accept trucks or SUV's in the CAM classes
  • Limits:
  1. No Shifter karts allowed at Devens events
  2. Street tire classes are limited to min. Treadwear 140 tires
  3. Trucks, Jeeps, pickups and SUV's are not allowed. If your vehicle is not listed in the SCCA rulebook, do not register. Please call our tech chief, Josh Parker at 603-674-0451 & ask if your vehicle may participate.

Event requirements

Pre-registration is required. No walk in or late registrations.   

To register, you need our club in your motorsportreg account. Go to the "My account" tab, select "Edit clubs", select "Add clubs to my account", choose "SCCA New England Region - Solo". (Members should add or update their membership number and expiration date here).

2014 Cost:

  • SCCA members: $35
  • Junior Kart - SCCA members: $20
  • Non-Members: $50
  • Off line payment - Contact barblseeger@gmail.com to complete your registration. We also support mail in registration if received on time - see http://www.ner.org/solo/registration
  • New: We are collecting donations on-line to help the local community. (There is an optional voluntary line item in the payment section).

 

Cancellations: At NER discretion, credits or refunds will be provided when notified of cancellations in advance. Refunds subtract donations to charity and our costs  -  Members $2.00, Non Members $2.70, Jr drivers $1.25. 

Region Number rules:  Rules are outlined in the  "Multiple Driver Cars" section of these rules: http://www.ner.org/solo/rules-and-regulations

  • 1 driver: Use any # between 1 and 99
  • 2 drivers: The 1st driver chooses a number less than 100, the 2nd driver adds 100 to that # (example #15 and #115 or #99 and #199).

Car Labels: Minimum 8" numbers and 4" letters:

  • Label both sides of the car with # and class. Example: 65 CS for car # 65 in class C Street 
  • Pro or Novice Index: Add the letter P or N before the SCCA class. Example: 22 NCS for car # 22 in class Novice C Street.
  • Street R Index does not have to add the R in front of the class - Use ASR, BSR.... HSR as the car label.

Sound Limit: The sound limit at Devens is 90db measured at 75 feet. Cars exceeding this limit will be required to make a change during the event to decrease sound before being allowed to run again.
