  Come join us for the first racing event of 2018 at the exciting Willow Springs International Raceway (The Fastest Track In The West) . We'll be hosting our customary Cup Race groups, Time Trial series, and our Performance Driving series on this legendary 2.5 mile road course. Participants will have a great time at this legendary road course. This event always sells out so register early....

PDS and Time Trial will have 4 sessions both days. Non-Porsche cars are welcome. POC certified instructors will be available for all students. PDS and TT students must contact Dwain Dement, Chief Driving Instructor, at 949-633-9455 or 949-770-2888 so that an instructor can be assigned to work with you at no additional cost. You must call before Monday February 6th to ensure your instructor/student pairing.

On Saturday, Red Cup Racers will have 2 morning practices, qualifying, and 1 cup race. Orange Cup Racers will have a morning practice, qualifying session (split), and 2 -cup races. On Sunday, race groups will have 1 practice session, 1 qualifying session (split), and 1 cup race. 

Our special EARLY BIRD PRICING ($50. discount) for this event expires Friday January 26th at midnight. The standard rates for 2-day registrations are $445. for Cup Racing and $395 for Time Attack and PDS. 1-day TA and PDS is $295. Last second registration at the track will be $100 higher than online pricing-no exceptions so register NOW.... 2018 POC membership is required. NEW CAR CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM! The POC has completely revamped our car classification system for 2018. The intent was to simplify and condense and I think once we get thru this first event everyone will find that to be true. These new classes are weight/WHP based using the Porsche factory HP listings as published in our previous classification system. We've modified the previous classifications of Stock, Improved, and Prepared into 2 groups - Stock and Modified. 

To help with the process I would like all new registrants to send  a simple list of any modifications made to the car and the DOT rating on the tires you will be using to our Competition Committee Chair Dave Gardner @ dave@akato-css.com. The DOT tire ratings are most important as only tires with a  >/= 200 UTQG rating are allowed in the Stock classes. POC's 2018 General Competition Rules (GCR's) have incorporated the new classification system in RED starting in paragraph 15.0:

Friday testing: Willow Springs Raceway offers Friday testing in the clockwise configuration. The cost is NOT included in your POC registration. Contact the track office for details at (661) 256-6666 or info@willowspringsraceway.com MCE Racing will have their Dynojet there Friday and all weekend...

Track entry gates will stay open until 10 PM Friday night for trailer parking access. 

Saturday: Gates opens at 6:00 am. Registration and tech will open at 6:30 am. There is a mandatory Driver's Meeting at 7:15 am sharp. Track goes hot at 8:00....
Sunday: Gate opens at 6:00 am. The track goes hot at 8 am.

Club BBQ: Please join us for our traditional opening event Saturday night BBQ in the Willow Springs Clubhouse from 5PM to whenever. Tickets for the BBQ are available with your MSR registration at $20 per. Please join us for the festivities....

Vehicle tech inspection should be done before you get to the track to avoid check-in delays and last minute repairs. Tech inspection at the track will be provided by Vali Motorsports and ProMotorsports on Saturday morning. The cost is $20, payable to POC.

Tire service: Please support Track Fast Motorsports. They come to all our events (except BW) and we don't want to lose them as we did our previous track tire vendor. Track Fast will be onsite Friday afternoon to mount your orders. They sell Yokohama, Hoosier, Toyo, Nitto and Goodyear tires. Zero sales tax and zero shipping fees if delivered to the event. Fuel: Leaded and unleaded race fuel (race cars only) will be available at the track both days.

Camping: Motorhome camping will be permitted on Friday and Saturday nights. Be prepared to dry camp. Quiet time will be enforced from midnight to 6AM.

Event cancellations received by Friday January 26th @ midnight will receive a full refund. No cancellations will be accepted after that time....
