This is the first PNWR overnight tour to the upper end of the Olympic Peninsula in several years, so it should be something NEW to many of our new members and a "welcome back" to the "old heads"!  This two-day tour takes you along winding, tree lined back roads beside the water, up to spectacular views of the Olympic mountains from Hurricane Ridge and on to dramatic Cape Flattery, the northwestern most point in the the continental United States

Day 1, Saturday, June 17: Hurricane Ridge with a lunch stop en route.

*Saturday's tour begins in Port Gamble and ends at the hotel, the Holiday Inn Express in Sequim.  If you do not wish to continue on for the second day of the tour, you can head back to Seattle or stay overnight and then head back on Sunday morning.  However, you may not have another chance to experience the sights of the way-upper Northwest Peninsula for a long time, so make it a weekend!!

*We meet in the parking lot at the junction of N Rainier Ave. and Walker St. The Port Gamble General Store and Café is at this intersection.

*10:00 AM meet and sign waivers

*10:20 AM Driver's Meeting

*10:40  AM Tour begins, 10 minute spacing between groups.

Day 2, Sunday, June 18: Neah Bay, Cape Flattery and the Lake Crescent Lodge

* Sunday's tour will leave from the hotel at 9 AM and conclude at the Lake Crescent Lodge.

Hotel: Holiday Inn Express, 1441 E Washington St, Sequim, WA 98382.

A block of 30 rooms are being held until June 1 at a group rate of $173.00/night plus tax. A full breakfast is included. 20 rooms have 2 Queen beds, 10 have 1 King bed. Rooms not yet reserved by June 1 will be released, but will be available at the group rate on a space available basis.  There will be a portion of the parking lot dedicated for Porsches.

Call 360.681.8756 to make your reservation and identify yourself as a Porsche Club member.

Group Dinner: You have a choice of two very fine restaurants in Sequim, one on the water and one downtown.

1. Dockside Grill at the John Wayne Marina

Dinner is at 6:00pm.   A private room for 26 people is reserved.

2. Alder Wood Bistro, 139 W. Alder Street in Downtown Sequim

Dinner is at 5:30pm.  A portion of the restaurant is reserved for 24 people.

   Other Details:

A National Parks Pass is required for Hurricane Ridge. We will stop to purchase passes en route.

A 7-day pass costs $25.00, an annual pass costs $80.00. Lifetime passes are $10 for Seniors (age 65 or older). There are no single day passes available. Annual and Lifetime passes can be purchaed online and by phone on advance. This is recommended so that we keep our ranger station stop short.

A $10 Makah Recreation Pass is required for Cape Flattery. It is situated on the Makah Indian Reservation. We will stop at the Makah Tribal Museum in Neah Bay museum to purchase passes and briefly tour the museum.

Viewing Cape Flattery requires an easy walk of about 3/4 of a mile each way. It should not be missed, so bring some comfortable walking shoes.  An umbrella might be a good idea as well since you just never know!
