The PNWR 50th Anniversary Committee and Board of Directors invite you to a gala celebration of PNWR's 50th anniversary!
Saturday, November 14, 2009, 5:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Please join us for a grand evening at Seattle's historic Rainier Club to celebrate 50 years of PCA's Pacific Northwest Region. There won't be an event like this in our club until 2059, so don't miss out! The highlights of the evening include:
- Gourmet buffet dining with elegant food from the Rainier Club's own chefs.
- Two celebrity guest speakers: Brian Redman and Garth Stein.
- Dancing to a live jazz band in a dedicated room.
- A display of memorabilia and Porsche artifacts from the Club’s 50-year history
- An automobile display in the forecourt, including both historic models and the very latest Porsches. Scheduled to appear: 917 chassis #004, driven by Brian Redman at Le Mans in 1970, courtesy of Vintage Racing Motors.
- A whole evening to socialize with the membership. As we say, members join for the cars but stay for the people!

The 50th Anniversary Gala is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy the company of your fellow club members, celebrity guest speakers, fantastic food and drink, and entertainment - all in one night and at one of Seattle's most historic and prestigious private clubs, the Rainier Club. A full schedule of events and dinner menu will be posted on this website and in the Spiel shortly.

Registration:
Registration and payment are handled primarily through this website. You may register for up to 10 people using one MotorSportReg.com account. If you do not yet have an account with MotorSportReg.com, you will be asked to create one during registration (free). If you already have an account, you will be asked to log-in. Payment:
If you register before October 18, the event fee is $100 - including all food, live music and dancing, speakers, displays, and a commemorative memento. All gratuities are included. After October 18, the late registration fee is $125. The easiest way to pay is by credit card through this secure website. In addition to the registration fees, we also have the following available for pre-purchase: valet parking at the Rainier Club ($20) and beverage packages ($7, $14, or $20 denominations). Refunds:
Refunds, minus $5 fee, are available up until one full week prior to the event, or a full credit may be given to other PNWR events registered via this website within the next 12 months. If within 12 months the credit is not used, the credit will be forfeited.
About the guest speakers:
Brian Redman: Internationally famous racing driver and member of 2 World Championship-winning teams for the Porsche factory. Brian is also a 3-time Formula 5000 champion, IMSA champion and winner of more than 20 major endurance races. He is one of the founding fathers of the vintage racing movement and one of the greatest ambassadors for motor sport in general. Here’s a chance to meet someone who has crossed paths with legendary figures such as Ferry Porsche, Enzo Ferrari, Roger Penske, Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, Jim Clark, Mario Andretti, Jacky Ickx and a host of others!
Garth Stein: Author of the highly successful novel “The Art of Racing in the Rain”. In addition to being a successful novelist and playwright, Stein is also a filmmaker and producer. Raised in Seattle, he returned to live in the Northwest after 18 years in New York City. “The Art of Racing In The Rain” is a unique narrative told from the point of view of Enzo, the race driving main character’s loyal dog. Patrick Dempsey plans to produce and star in a movie version of this book.
