About this event
In 2016 we explored north of Los Angeles. For the start of 2017 we turn our attention to south of Los Angeles.
We will set out via back roads to Temecula where we will have lunch at the Monte De Oro Winery. The run starts in Diamond Bar and passes through Corona, Perris, and Hemet before reaching Temecula. The drive should take about 2 ½ hours, avoids the freeways, and will have several scenic and interesting stretches of rural roads.
When we reach Temecula, we will have lunch at the Monte De Oro Winery and Vineyards. They have a beautiful outdoor patio with a magnificent view of the Temecula Valley, and of course there will be wine tasting available. For their menu and other information, please check out their website: Monte De Oro.
Registration for this event is required. There will be a $10 car fee at sign up (per car, not per person). If you wish only to join the drive, that's fine; just leave the count on the Registration page at 0. Otherwise please indicate the total number in your party since we need an accurate head count for lunch.
We will meet up at a Starbucks in Diamond Bar at 8:00 am, and the group will depart promptly at 9:00 am. Once you have registered, you will receive the address of the starting point on the confirmation page. A couple of days prior to this run, an email will be sent to all registrants with the detailed route description.
Registration will open Wednesday, December 28, at noon, and close on Wednesday, January 11, again at noon, which allows us time to notify the Bistro with our head count.
We look forward to seeing you there!
