This is a don’t miss opportunity to tour one of the world’s foremost restoration shops. The day will begin at Herb Chambers BurlingtonAudi , Burlington, Massachusetts where you will time to enjoy coffee and donuts and peruse all of the exciting new offerings by Audi. You will then be lead to Paul Russell and Company through a country route (maps will be provided). Once arriving at the shop you will be lead on a tour by Stacy Puckett, Research and Resource Manager for Paul Russell and Company. She will provide you will details regarding the ongoing restorations and service projects throughout the shop. Just a few of which include a 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa that raced at the famed LeMans 24 Hour race, a 1938 Delahaye with a body by Figoni & Falaschi, as well as a 1948 Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa which was the first ever Ferrari to race in the US. Finger food and drinks will be provided, as well as goodie bags with items provided by Haggerty Insurance, andthe automotive restoration program at McPherson College.
As a thank you to Mr. Russell for allowing us to tour his facility, we will be hosting a charity raffle for a cause that is near and dear to his heart, the Automotive Restoration program at McPherson College. Mr. Russell is currently serving as Chairman of the Advisory Board for the program which provides the only four year degree in the nation in automotive restoration. Tickets for the raffle will be for sale before and during the tour with the drawing to take place in the rear area of the shop, affectionately known as “Bud’s Area”. This area acts as a show room and storage area for customer cars, as well as sales cars. Two special Audi’s will also be on display provided by HT Motorsport and Vittorio Bares.
After the shop tour you will be lead on a scenic drive up route 128 to the beautiful back roads of Gloucester, Lanesville and Rockport to the Granite Pier for a club group photo shot and then to a dinner at the Seaport Grille in Gloucester http://www.cruiseportgloucester.com/seaportgrille/ (maps will be provided). This will be a Dutch dinner, however you must indicate at sign-up if you plan on joining us for dinner, as we will need to finalize the reservation number.
