Over-the-Hoan Tour to Car Show Fundraiser

Join us September 27 for a special event to benefit Hunger Task Force

Is it a tour? Yes!

Is it a car show? Yes!

It is a fundraising event? Yes!

The region’s Charitable Outreach and Concours committees are teaming to provide a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic-era opportunity on Sunday, September 27. Porschephiles can:

  • Cruise the Hoan Bridge
  • Drive Milwaukee’s picturesque lakefront
  • Show Porsches at the Bavarian Bierhaus. 
  • Raise money for charity.

Entry fee: $100 minimum. All proceeds will benefit Hunger Task Force (“HTF”).  In addition to proceeds raised by PCA-Milwaukee Region, PCA National will provide a $750 subsidy which will also go to HTF.

There will be drawings for several prizes. All who sign up will be eligible (except board members).  Participants must be present at the car show when, the drawings will be made, to be eligible to win.

The prizes will include:

  • One raffle ticket for a new Porsche to be given away by PCA National
  • One $100 MasterCard Gift Card
  • Four $25 Kwik Trip gasoline cards

We will encourage social distancing. Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask and follow the region’s guidelines for events (see below).

Event requirements

All participants must agree to sign two documents: 1) the standard PCA Event Waiver and 2) the PCA COVID-19 Release, in order to participate in this event.  We are now enabled to sign both documents electronically on the MotorsportReg ("MSR") website using an app called SpeedWaiver.  There will be a link to the SpeedWaiver app in both the registration confirmation page you will see after completing registration as well as in the confirmation email you will receive.  Confirmation that both documents have been signed can be downloaded onto your smartphone(s) and must be displayed at event check-in.  If any difficulty is experienced in accomplishing this download, please contact event registrar, Alan Wagner, at (262) 416-8503.

This tour/car show/fundraiser is one small step toward getting events on 2020 Calendar that has been seriously impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic.  We will be following health & safety guidelines established specifically for this event.  These guidelines are listed below:

1.    If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home.
2.    Registration for this event shall be accomplished electronically only on MSR by 8:00 PM CDT on September 26, 2020 aka: the "deadline."
3.    No late, nor on-site, registrations will be accepted.
4.    The event planners will provide details of the event starting location and time by email to registered participants in advance of the tour start.
5.    Driving directions in the form of a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet will be submitted to all registered participants electronically a minimum of 5 days in advance of the tour date.  Participants shall print said directions and bring them for use on the event. 
6.    Both the standard PCA event waiver and the PCA COVID-19 release must be signed electronically by each participant in advance on MotorsportReg.com (“MSR”) and confirmation of signing must be displayed on each participant's smart phone at check in.  Paper waivers will not be accepted.
7.    The tour leader will wear a face mask during the review of waivers on participants’ smart phones.  The participants shall also wear face masks during the check-in process, 
8.    During the Drivers’/Navigators’ meeting, the tour, the car show, and other times together, a minimum of six-foot social distancing and the wearing of face masks is recommended.
9.    No touching of any car (other than your own) shall be allowed.
10. Eating, drinking, and restroom use shall be at participant's own risk.
11. Due to COVBID-19 and waiver issues, minors (under age 18) are discouraged from participating in this event.
