About this event
It’s a Mini invasion at Shannonville Motorsport Park hosted by the St. Lawrence Automobile Club and the Ottawa Mini Group, July 25th, 2021. We’re calling it OMG at SMP! and we’re sure that you’ll call it ‘maximum fun’. This event provides you with the opportunity to join fellow Mini owners and fellow St LAC members for a full day of lapping at Shannonville Motorsport Park. Drivers will be assigned to an appropriate group based on comfort and skill. And now you have the chance to visit with representatives from MINI Ottawa. We’re excited to have them join us and perhaps just make it possible to see what’s in-store for 2021.

There will be a variety of configurations for you to enjoy throughout the day.
T h e C o s t s
The price is $250 plus $35 for the mandatory joining of St LAC (this is a requirement of Shannonville and our insurance policy). The total will be $285.00 Note well: upon demonstration of membership in another CASC affiliated club, it will no longer be necessary to purchase a St LAC membership.
Please keep in mind that our day goes rain or shine. Entry fees are non-refundable.
T h e D a y
Registration opens at 07H15.
Driver meeting at 09h00.
Lapping for the first group will be off at 09h20.
Event closure will be 16h30.
Registration closes July 24th, 2021. The event is being capped at 48 people/cars and we have vacancies! So, if you or a friend would like to enjoy a day of lapping — no matter what you’re driving — you’re more than welcome.
An orientation session shall proceed the day’s events along with the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the various track configurations online. We don’t want to see anything like this:

No previous track experience is required. All you need is a car, a DOT 2010 helmet or better for your noggin, and your enthusiasm along with some paperwork. So, come out and drive your MINI as it was intended or just tootle around. It’s your choice!
To members of OMG
Depending on interest and COVID protocols in place, OMG may convoy down and also secure a deal at local hotels to overnight before the big day. Camping is available at the track and washroom facilities are also available.

Step One
Join St LAC with the instructions found here. This will cost $35. Again, this will not be required if you can demonstrate membership in a CASC registered club. Please have such proof ready at registration.

Event requirements
Supplementary Regulations:
- Competition licenses are NOT required.
- Cars must be in complete working order as determined by the Automobile Fitness self-declaration form.
- A helmet is required by all participants when on the track (DOT 2010 and up).
- The organizers will organize the run groups.
