RMR OktoberFAST DE - Last DE of the Year!!

Gates open at 5:00 PM Friday night
Check in at track opens 7:00 AM Saturday and Sunday
Mandatory all drivers’ meeting at 8:00 AM,(each day) first time drivers' meeting following the drivers' meeting. (each day)
Location: High Plains Raceway, 17 miles east of Byers on US-36 (Deer Trail)

Either day: Each Driver: $200 (includes hat!)
Both days: Each Driver: $290 (includes hat!)
Hats are black Polar Fleece lined "watch cap" style beanies embroidered with Porsche logo. They have a gold rim and a red Porsche embroidered on them.
Non-pilling 100% Polyester Fleece, half-lined acrylic knit ear warmer.

MESSAGE FROM OUR EVENT CHAIR, DALE HARTZEL:
THE END IS NEAR! DE season will end in October, so don’t miss your chance to head out to High Plains Raceway and participate in the last DE of 2016 – OktoberFAST. It will be one of the few places you can go to escape the insanity of the political season right before the election! Last year offered perfect weather for fast driving and relaxed socializing. Join other PCA members for all things German - fast cars, no speed limits, and Beer Thirty featuring a tasty selection of German beer and wine. Mark October 8th and 9th on your calendars now so you don't forget!
OktoberFAST is a No Times DE with paid corner workers which means lots of track time. We had a great mix of Porsches, BMWs, Audis and more on the track, so sign up early so you don't miss out this year. Did I mention the perfect weather last year? Just because the calendar says October there are still spectacular days for driving.
We’re continuing our tradition of cool giveaways at the event, so if you missed the custom Porsche gloves last year, or the Spyder pullover from 2014, or the 50th anniversary 911 shirt from 2013, make sure you sign up and get out there this year. What are we giving away this year to attendees? A great fleece-lined Porsche "watch cap" style hat, embroidered with a Porsche.
This year for our charity we’ll be supporting is the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation to support ongoing research at the hospital. Children's Hospital Colorado has defined and delivered pediatric health care excellence for more than 100 years. Founded in 1908, Children's Colorado is a leading pediatric network entirely devoted to the health and well-being of children. Continually acknowledged as one of the nation's top ten Best Children's Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report and Parents magazine, Children's Colorado is known for both its nationally and internationally recognized medical, research, education and advocacy programs, as well as comprehensive everyday care for kids throughout Colorado and surrounding states.
You can always visit the HPR web at www.highplainsraceway.com or check out some of the videos of other people's laps on YouTube to get ready. Registration will be through www.motorsportreg.com as always and will open in September. Free pre-tech will be available at several locations along the Front Range on September 28th. Watch for details on the opening of registration, costs, and tech inspection locations in email and the newsletter or on the RMR PCA website (rmr.pca.org). This will be the time you'll fondly remember when the snow is piling up knee-deep outside and you are inside the garage making the Porsche even faster for next year. Event requirements

National PCA membership number and membership status will be verified as part of the registration process. If you do not include a valid PCA membership number (or forward a pending membership confirmation from PCA to the registrar), a $10 non-member fee will be assessed.
You must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license to participate in this event. Your driver's license will be checked at registration!
You need to have a Snell-certified SA2005 or M2005 or newer helmet. You will need to wear long pants (made of natural fibers) and an all cotton short or long sleeve shirt and closed toe shoes while driving. Helmets will be checked at Pre-Tech or Tech at the Track. Your helmet will need an RMR/PCA sticker. A limited number of loaner helmets are available.
No convertibles or open cars without roll bars, trucks, or non-Porsche SUVs.
We cannot accommodate two (2) driver cars if both drivers are novice drivers and attending their first DE event. No three (3) driver cars are allowed.
Attendance at RMR DEs at HPR will be limited to a total of 135 drivers per day, including up to 30 Novice and Beginner drivers depending on the number of Instructors registered. To implement this, everyone registering for the DE will be listed as ON HOLD, subject to CONFIRMATION BY THE CDIs.
Your priority in being confirmed for an event will depend on the date and time you register. When an event fills up, further priority will be given to PCA members.

If you do not have your car pre-teched, there will be a $50 fee for Tech at the Track.
Lodging is available in Byers at the Longhorn Budget Host Motel contact # 303-822-5205.
Lodging is also available at the Byers Inn. Rates are $80. single occupancy and $95. double occupancy. Rooms have a private bath and a continental breakfast is included. Rooms are also available in private homes. Rates are $70 single and $85 double. These are either a shared or private bath. A continental breakfast is also included.
