The Northwest Alfa Romeo Club has been providing fun and informative Sport Driving events to club members, family and friends, and the car enthusiast community in the Northwest for over 20 years.
On Wednesday, August 12 we invite our friends at AROO and FEN to join us for an afternoon of spirited driving, camaraderie, and good times. This is a late afternoon Sport Driving event being held at Pacific Raceways in Kent, and is an open lapping format designed to provide club members and guests the thrill of driving their beloved Alfas and FIATs in a "spirited" manner on a closed road course. This is a private event for NWARC/AROO/FEN members and invited guests to driver their Alfas, Fiats, Lancias, and Maseratis... and of course members may still join in the fun with other marques if you don't currently have a running Italian vehicle.
Previous driver skills or car control course experience is recommended as a prerequisite for this event. However, all levels of driving skill and experience are encouraged to register, as there will be basic car control exercises and in-car instructors available for drivers with minimal track experience. There will also be time set aside for a "tour" of the road course for those who would like to take a spirited drive in their special vehicles (perfect for vintage cars and spiders).

Registration Fee: $185
Please be sure your vehicle is in good mechanical condition, with no visible fluid leaks or loos part hanging from exterior or underneath the vehicle. Check your tire wear and tire pressure the day before the event, check engine oil and coolant levels, and fill if necessary. All vehicles will be subjected to a basic technical inspection before being allowed on track. Please remove all loose items from the interior of your vehicle prior to arriving.
You will need to be a member of AROC (NWARC or AROO) and FEN to participate in this event... friends and family are always welcome participate. We will also offer a temporary 1-day NWARC membership for $10 to those who only want to participate in this one event on August 12 (continue to registration and select the 1-day membership).
Event requirements
This event is open to club AROC and FEN members in good standing with valid drivers license. Drivers must also embrace the spirit of Cuore Sportivo!
*NOTE: You must show your valid drivers license at check-in and before driving on the road course.

Experienced Drivers
You are considered an "experienced driver" if you have participated in DS (Driver Skills), HPDE (High Performance Drive Education), or open lapping events within the past two years. If you have not been on track in more than two years you will be assigned an in-car instructor who will perform a "check ride." Experienced drivers will be on track together (regardless of vehicle type) in the Inter/Advanced run group. No passengers allowed except designated instructors.
Novice Drivers
For drivers who have never been on a road course we will have basic skills exercises available in the paddock area, including Threshold Braking and Slalom. There will be Novice run group with in-car instructors available as needed and the first session in "lead-follow" format. The speeds for this group will be moderate (yet still "spirited") with an emphasis on safety and learning. No passengers allowed except designated instructors. Helmets and eye protection are required in this group.
