What is special this year: This year we are very proud and excited to add another dimension to this event, one of philanthropy and charitable giving. We’ve decided to turn our attention to a dear friend and supporter of the Northwest Alfa Romeo Club in an effort to help his family in their most dire time of need. Many of you may know Scott Bradley, a Porsche Club of America nationally certified instructor and a tireless supporter of and volunteer for many local clubs with their track and driving events... NWARC, PCA, Corvette, Audi, BMW, Proformance, Swerve, just to name a few. Scott’s daughter Kathryn “Panda” Bradley is 19-years old and has been battling Glioblastoma for most of her life, and she is now facing a very critical prognosis on her condition as of late last year. The treatment Kathryn needs is very specialized and is not entirely covered by the family’s insurance. Please take a minute to read the family’s blog at http://www.kathrynpandabradley.com/ and find out what they have been dealing with for quite some time. It is truly amazing what individuals and families are capable of handling when they are surrounded by caring family, friends, neighbors, and community.
That’s where you come into the picture. By participating in this event, whether as a registered driver, spectator, sponsor or volunteer, you will have a direct affect on Kathryn's life and chances for obtaining the treatment she needs. The Enduro Challenge has never been a “for-profit” event, but while having fun we can certainly find some ways to generate extra money to support the Bradley family.
For those of you interested in donating independent of the Karting Enduro Challenge, please visit any Umpqua Bank and ask to make a deposit into the Carol Bradley Family Fund. You may also donate by mailing a check to: Carol Bradley Family Fund c/o Copperfin, 8201 164th Avenue NE, Suite 200, Redmond, WA 98052.
Team/Lap Sponsorship – This year we thought it would also be fun to ask each driver and/or team to go out and get their own “per lap” sponsorship in an effort to generate more donations for the Bradley Family. This will be simple, just ask your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors for a small pledge for each lap that your team completes... And of course you should promise them the overall win! Encourage them to view the Bradley family blog, and invite them to the event if they’ve never seen wheel-to-wheel racing. Their donations will go directly to the Carol Bradley Family Fund. There will be a prize awarded to the team which generates the highest per lap donation (to be announced).
Thanks for registering, see you all at the Enduro!
