Northwest Autosports Association (NWAA) presents the first autocross at Spirit Peaks!
August 18th-19th, 2018 —- Toutle, WA (Spirit Peaks Raceway)
Free on site camping is provided in pit area, or there is a campground down the road. you may not have a fire but you can use a BBQ. Tech will open Saturday and Sunday morning at 7:30 AM, course walk woll be open 7-8:30 AM drivers meeting will happen at 8:30 AM and first car out will be at 9:00 AM. Be prepared to bring with you whatever you bring there. The Toutle river is near by if you want to escape the heat at lunch or after the event. As a bonus Riverdale raceway wil be running drags and is only a couple miles down the road Saturday night for $20 per driver! Come autocross all day and see what your AX car can do on the strip at night!
This will be our regular format no classing just raw times focused on lots of run time, we are capping the event at 40 drivers.
Event requirements
Novices welcome, Helmets required (some loaners are available), waivers must be signed to enter the track. Please have your number on both sides of the car tape or shoe polish works.
Passing tech inspection is subject to a safety officers discretion.
Just because the tech inspectors might miss something does NOT make that car acceptable. If an event officer notices something wrong, the car will be pulled and must re-pass tech inspection to correct it. This applies to all safety items and is EVERY competitors responsibility.
All participants must be over 18, or have a minor waiver signed by a legal guardian, It must be notarized, or that guardian must come to the event to sign the minor waiver. Drivers MUST be 16 or older and have a valid state driver’s license.
All spectators on site must sign a safety waiver and have a wristband if they wish to watch or ride along as a passenger.
Deliberate disregard for highway laws at ANY time during the weekend may be grounds for a team’s disqualification, this applies to all club members, racing or not. This could result in the loss of the event site.
Things we that will be checked during tech inspection:
- Lug nuts
- Large leaks of any fluid
- Steering wheels, seats and seat belts
- Wheel bearings
- Battery tie down
- Loose items in cabin
- Numbers on both sides of the car
